Unfortunately for me he seemed to have checked out soon after he made the comment about potentially leaving. He's not the same player as last season - no where close. It was more than just a purple patch - am not having that.

You can't doubt his ability - we've seen him at his best. Just playing in a dysfunctional team atm.

Eddie's stock has risen with his time at Newcastle so I have no doubt he'll get another top job. But just sometime a managers time comes to a natural conclusion at a club and it just feels like we are there with Eddie. The performance yesterday shocked me how bad it was - something just isn't right. We are a million miles away from the team we saw in 22/23.

I think what hasn't worked in Eddie's favour is the fact the team has over performed for the last few seasons. Yes he's spent money but the team had zero investment for the best part of a decade so the starting base was rock bottom. Based on our wage bill though we've been punching against our weight. It doesn't excuse some of the inept performances we have seen this season - notably those against Sunderland and Palace yesterday. But it has to be taken into account when deciding if its time for Eddie to go.

This lad was class when he first came - unfortunately since his ACL injury he's been very stop/start - hasn't been able to get a run of games. He's also coming into a poor Newcastle side. Midfield is giving the back four no protection.

What an awful signing he's proved to be - the fact he's not getting picked shows he's can't even be performing in training.

There's delay's and there's delays' - new training ground should have been built by now never mind announced. They also left us without a CEO or DOF at one of the most important Summer windows which pretty much derailed our season.

Well - I disagree mate.

Palace started a weakened side, played mid-week - we should have been at them from the off. Yet we lacked any intensity - it felt like a pre-season game.
