Newcastle is one of the most compact city centres in the UK. If it’s a new stadium then Castle Leazes is the only alternative or the Arena site if still an option. There are no other options in the city centre and a tarting up of SJP just won’t do it.

That is something that would have to be tested I would think and given the more onerous nature of the new APT rules that still haven’t been implemented yet.

It probably is, it’s anti competitive, the ruling on capping agents fees was on the basis such a rule was anti competitive.

The PL tried to cap the fees of agents……..it went to Court and the PL lost, there was also a similar ruling in a court in Dortmund. FIFA, UEFA and the PL had to halt the rule changes.

I fear you’ll see any sponsorship deals that originate in the gulf area or that can be linked to PIF being against the more onerous APT rules and not being allowed.

Questions being asked why Arbitration Hearings like City’s APT challenge and I guess their 115 charges are held in private.
