They've got to finish in the top 3, and it looks like there are 4 in contention to win the league - them, North Shields, Shildon and Morpeth so as long as they don't finish bottom of that pile they will go up, but by no means nailed on

Never seen so many teammates look so disappointed after a screamer was scored, ha

Massive match tomorrow. If MU lose tomorrow they are guaranteed to finish exactly 4th. If it's a draw tomorrow, Arsenal can guarantee at least 3rd with a win over Sunderland on Wednesday or effectively seal it with a draw against Sunderland (there would need to be an 8 goal swing on final day to cost them). A MU win tomorrow will guarantee that it goes down to the final day, so we could really do with MU winning tomorrow. -
5 vs 2 is a week on Wed. 4 vs 3 is a week on Thurs (hopefully Heed get thus as I wouldn't mind seeing Chelsea vs Atletico, ha) Second legs are both a week on Sunday. A win will do, a point will do, a loss will do if Braintree don't win. A 1 goal defeat will do if Braintree only win by 1. A 3 goal swing in a Heed loss and Braintree win will see Heed out. Despite Cambridge guaranteed 2nd and lost 3 on the spin, still a bit of work to do as Grimsby might rest a few against Braintree.

Arsenal v Everton Hull City v Sunderland Sheffield United v Charlton Athletic Manchester City v Wigan Athletic So it's got to be an Arsenal/Everton vs City final then. Ideally Arsenal-City in case Man Utd pip Everton for 6th
-
Roughly 4,000 there apparently
-
Get in, we might finish 8th instread of 9th
-
Anyone know the details for Monday night? Will it just be the usual £3 on the door, or will they hike it up? Will Sunderland fans have their own end? What sort of attendance do you reckon there will be? I will probably go to this.
-
Good question, which would you choose in their situation?
-
Strongest team possible IMO. We have never been in a strong a position to go for the cup for a good few years. We have a decent side and with the right draws could go a long way. Realistically (especially with Spurs' win the other day) we are going to finish either 8th or 9th - battling for 8th with Southampton. Everyone below Southampton will still have relegation on their minds, every team above Newcastle will have some sort of league/champions league etc to go for. I would much rather we rested half the team against Man City than Cardiff personally.

Donaldson (ex Newcastle) just put Cambridge 2-1 up. Think that's this game officially over as a contest.
-
Nowt wrong with that, I'm watching this one as well, plenty of drama. You would imagine Halifax will try and spoil the game as much as possible from now, not that you can blame them mind. Very impressed with BT Sport's general coverage.
-
Yep, think it is an 8.30pm kick off UK time - are we on the same time zone? I will be watching that game on a stream. I see you are 1/3 to win - basically if you put £3 on you would get £1 back plus your £3 stake, Guimaraes are 9/1 at home
-
Cracking stadium you have. Unlikely admittedly, but it would be great if you reached the final of the champs league next year on your own patch

Thanks. What's the deal with the email address? does it not like @gmail @hotmail ones?

Really pleased with this draw. At the time, i was gutted. Like most i wanted Basle, and in terms of progressing Fenerbahce and Rubin would have been 'easier', but as most have said this is what European football is all about - a chance to play against a genuine top club, with great tradition. It will be hard to porgress, but should be a great experience in both matches. Where would you place Benfica with some of the other giants we have faced in the past 10-15 years? Certainly in the same bracket as Barca, Juve and Inter me for.
