Of those we've signed I think Diame, Ritchie and Gayle can be solid squad players in the PL, with Hayden looking strong so far too with Gamez and Lazaar coming from top flight football, Yedlin having played in the premier league too. But players like Murphy, Hanley, Clark, McManaman and there still being no guarantee that Hayden or Lazaar will be any good in the PL, is it possible we could be lumbered with championship players on long contracts, or would we be capable of shipping them on if they aren't good? I think we'll be fine but something I thought I would get opinions from on here.

Hes gone up a gear since Reading, really hope he keeps it up, seems like the sort of player who will benefit hugely from that goal. Rafa's actually got him working hard which is great to see, hes not the best defensively but hes trying his best which should be enough in this league.

With our limited available options I'd be fairly happy with any lineup that doesn't have Colback in it within reason. But I'd like to see: Darlow Yedlin Mbemba Lascelles Gamez Ritchie Hayden Shelvey Perez Diame Gouffran

To be fair I've had a mare with this one, still don't rate him highly from what I've seen for us but thought he was 21 or 22, how the fuck did I miss that? I thought he was 19 when he started getting on the bench for us a couple of seasons ago. Still a fair bit of time to tell I suppose.

But that's his natural position and didn't he do alright until he was moved wide and then into central midfield? If anything he should have never been used as anything but a striker. Happy to keep him as backup, but we 100% need another striker in, think Mitro and Gayle will be great in the champ I don't rate Perez but you would think he will chip in at some point, think Armstrong is utter tripe and as I say Gouffran should be a backup. One more needed for absolutely certain, a good all rounder if possible, easier said than done.
