Nah its alright we've got anita on the wing.

Lets just drop 17 million quid to get it done a week early? We should have the funds independent of this transfer to bring in who we need and for the life of me I don't know why we aren't breaking down doors to bring in the 3+ players the squad still needs. Fuck Sissoko.

Would put actual money on Gouffran having a better game than hes had in a while if he figures tomorrow. -

Was talking about how we all dreaded him up front v West Ham only for him to play brilliantly. Fair play, it was probably up there with Sholas hat trick against Reading! -
Because it might mean hes replaced.

I would be genuinely surprised if Rafa hasn't already tried to persuade Tiote to stay, we look so much better with him in the side when hes had a few games back from injury. Would be first name on the team sheet in midfield for me but I get the feeling he isn't interested in staying. -

Best was shite in the championship and good in the prem, might be the other way for Riviere, but probably not. -
All I've seen is people giving him a bit of criticism, as much as we all love him he does deserve a bit for some strange decisions. Nobody wants rid of him and there's no need for any ridiculous over the top statements about his management or his future. He is the best manager we'll get any time soon and I still have full faith he'll deliver to us what we want, but everyone makes mistakes and its OK to voice that, it doesn't mean I or anyone else who does wants him gone or hates him.

Even the one goal he did score he nearly fucked up, complete slice -
Was amazing at the start of the game, I was in the gallowgate and was in awe at how great it all looked and sounded, all credit to the boys who sorted it all out. Couldn't help but think how amazing it would have looked had it been possible to get the whole stadium involved even just for one game, but that would be nigh on impossible to organise I would think.

Can't see him ever being sharp enough to have a prolonged run in the team, would rather bring someone else in and try and ship him out. It reaches a certain point where enough is enough, not his fault of course I'm sure hes working hard to get fit but its no good to us.

He also went for Colo last year and has been rumoured to be interested in Dummett in the past too. Or you could change your av?

Rivieres hold up play was actually decent, it was just the fact that finishing chances seemed to be against his religion or something. Could be a handy player -
Ended up with 64 due to Hazard somehow getting 10 points.

Whatever happens we need Anita to NOT be on the wing again vs Reading, I hate to get at Rafa but its nothing short of moronic and had McClaren or Pardew did it we would be sharpening the pitchforks. Aaron's hasn't been too impressive in the brief time hes had in the first 2 games but him and Ritchie are our best options of getting balls into the box and making something happen, both have to play. Anita is fairly limited but is being made to look completely inept by having him out wide, its like having 10 men on the pitch. -
Those aimless runs and terrible balls into the box from last season might actually produce something in the championship. Might be able to improve on his tally of 1 goal too.

Anita and Shelvey are both better. Not by huge amounts amounts but he is a weak link even among weak links. -
My own eyes have told me that Sels has been poor. Was horrendous pre-season and looks very shaky in the two games so far. Not convinced.

Straight back in?

Newcastle United transfer rumours in the press

I don't mean to call you out because you're far from the only one, but are you all this negative with other things in life? If so, there's a lot of miserable bastards on here. It's two games, we still have one of the best squads in the league, we probably will get at least one more in, and we have the best manager in the league by some distance. We may not walk the league like everyone thought, but we have 44 games to go. Let's all calm down a bit and have a little faith in the first quality manager we've had in over a decade. Not at all. I'm frustrated because we're not playing well, and I continue to see the problems popping up in the same areas. I've not once questioned the ability of players brought in. Of course they need time to gel. What I'm saying is that I don't think there have been efforts to address the weaknesses in the 2 positions we've known have been problematic for nigh on 3 years. I don't think this is negativity; we're short in key areas that haven't been addressed yet. I hope to be proven wrong, but time is ticking and I worry that we'll be left short of quality to mount a strong challenge. I agree with all of that. I do agree people are bed wetting far too much, however some people who are bringing up the legitimate concerns we have already should be allowed to do so. -
Only thing standing between them and relegation is Defoe, Moyes is a good manager but their team is shocking.
-
Could it be pressure? There really shouldn't be enough pressure to effect the whole team in this manner but the pressure of impressing a manager like Rafa, pressure from weight of trying to get us back up at the first attempt, pressure of being labelled the best team in the league and guaranteed title winners by the media, maybe even the pressure of the fans expectations. Not saying its our fault of course we've done our bit, but if we've somehow signed players who are mentally weak it could be an issue.

Don't rate him. -
I can understand things take a while to gel etc... and I think we'll come good starting wednesday, but what was massively strange to me was how none of our players seemed to be able to control simple passes, the amount of poor first touches was a joke. We also had an annoying habit of over hitting short passes and under hitting the long ones which didn't help.
