  1. I saw that on twitter but I don't believe it. It doesn't make any sense anyway "gives the new owners a chance OR Bruce a chance to go forward" Then says "Mike Ashley won't own the club"
  2. Ahh I remember this thread! Good to see you again, how have you been?! Ah fuck, actually we're heavily involved again aren't we ?
  3. This article from Sky news was in October 2020. It has it absolutely bang on about the details of the super league. Except for one thing... It says FIFA are involved in discussions. Hmmm ? https://news.sky.com/story/top-english-clubs-in-bombshell-talks-to-join-european-premier-league-12109175
  4. The punishment for the big 6 is letting the takeover go through
  5. Imagine the Midlands clubs decided they had enough and wanted to start their own "King of the Midlands league" with games being mid week. The big 6 would send them down to the absolute bottom of the pyramid, and masters would be leading the charge.
  6. Yep they could have introduced a 100% tax on them for example.
  7. Anyone think this was all part of their grand master plan to get even more power? "ok ok we'll come back but you must do a few things that we want? Deal?" Masters would have been begging them to not leave him behind.
  8. What was it that they did?
  9. Didn't Real Madrid and Barca hold talks with Haaland? And they have the cheek to moan about debt when they continue to sign superstars even though they can't afford it ?
  10. Hope to fuck they get punished and not just a "welcome back, no more mistakes ok?"
  11. But they own the player registrations surely? That would mean they can rightly stop the players from playing until their contracts end. They might not be able to stop the league but I have a feeling they can stop games being played and clubs appearing in it.
  12. Bang on this from an Arsenal fan ?
  13. I can't help but think this is the perfect time for them to takeover. Not only concerning us with regarding our historic problems with Ashley, but after everything that's happened in the last few days, If these came in and instantly formed good relationships with fan groups and legends of the club, they would be seen as heroes. They have the finances to secure our safety for the future, but if they came in and did everything on board regarding the fans, that would be absolutely massive for their reputation.
  14. Same. Even my wife told me finally last night at around 11pm "the super league problems will still be there tomorrow, don't worry about it now" I asked her if she was an American football club owner.
  15. Not much they can do though surely, if FIFA says they are banned from selection then they won't get picked. The risk would be disqualification for their own country I would think.
  16. The value of the PL and the money coming into it would absolutely plummet. Thus leaving nothing for the grass roots and the lower leagues.
  17. The rules say its possible though don't they? It's still one hell of a risk just to get what you want in the CL.
  18. Simon Jordan rumbling on about how this is just a power play to get what they want with regards to the CL and it'll never actually happen. Even if that is the case, 1. That's a massive risk and 2. They're surely still punishable for the rules they've broken. They might get what they want in regards to the CL but why would it matter if that means you're kicked out of the league?
  19. So much greed. Not even proposing it to relevant fan groups or saying how the money would filter down to grass roots football. Just keeping it all for themselves. Wow.
  20. PIF wanted to turn us into a superhouse. Eventually making big name signings and competing at the top of European football. If this league goes ahead none of that will happen.
  21. So they'll be playing just 1 midweek game every week with no international games for players?
  22. Oh fuck. I thought they released a statement earlier supporting it! Just proves I know fuck all about them
  23. Same. Never heard of them before tonight and they've just destroyed football for me for the first time in the 38 years I've been alive.
