5-1 wasnt it? Took wor lasses uncle from London to it, his first ever footy game, 60 odd years old, he loved it and now keeps asking me to take him to another game... urgh no Aye. Battered them. Their fans just got p*ssed en-masse beforehand and started chucking a few coins and lighters down as the goals went in. Acted like absolute arseholes around the town afterwards. Routledge and Fitz Hall Debutants?

It'd be funny, till we missed out on a World Cup.

Luckily with the effervescent Ryan Taylor breathing down his neck, he's sure to raise his game. -

This is exactly it. He's basically a good footballer but I do think his strengths and weaknesses are all wrong for the PL. I think that part of the problem is as fans we have mediocrity forced upon us, so someone who is clearly a good footballer (like Santon) is seen in isolation as a positive for the squad. The on-field reality is though that there's unlikely to much offered by him, unless we suddenly transform into a possession orientated side. Plenty are quite sensibly advocating 4-3-3 ideally you wouldn't want Anita or Colback in that 3. -

If we're going to play with a front 3 on the counter im not sure what he's going to bring to the table. -
Gabriel Obertan signs for Anzhi

Stop it with this. He ran into space as an overlapping man it's hardly complex or worthy of merit. Whey he made the right run, carried the ball at pace and delivered it to the right place. I don't rate him as a player but he gets criticised way too much and his good stuff is ignored. The good work on that goal was creating space for him to run into. It's not a criticism to say his role in the goal was simple. -

Yeah not really asking much. If you know you're going to get beaten in the air the only thing you have to do is stop the other guy from getting an easy header off. -
