  1. If you could see yourself would you stop?
  2. It used to be the case under Shepherd that chants of 'sack the board' were the death knell for a manager.
  3. Yeah, Pardew trying to retain control over a fractured dressing room and being up against it I think he wanted players he could trust.
  4. This is more of a general point but Pardew, like many of his favourite players, has no reason to improve himself when he knows he's untouchable anyway. How s*** is it atm, honestly? Never felt so despondent. Think the inclusion of Gosling recently was political as much as anything.
  5. it beggars belief Ha one of those loans turned out to be our second best player. Third best is going to leave for £3m in the summer.
  6. I'm a fan of .com but dear me their report of the fans forum is painfully brief.
  7. Banners will be banned at the ground from next season, I'd put money on it. Already banned actually. That's why they're called banners.
  8. “Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.” ― Winston Churchill
  9. He ought to be dragged out by the hair.
  10. Tevez's record for Argentina is pretty poor and apparently he's quite a disruptive influence when he doesn't play or gets asked to play slightly out of position. Carlos, Alan scarred you?
  11. That's shan if true like. They probably have to pay a tribute to Mike.
  12. Aiming to win our first World Cup in 60 years in...............Qatar.
  13. There it is! There will come a time when this place gets into trouble for not referring Hans to the relevant authorities.
  14. The Chronicle "Fabricio Coloccini held showdown talks with Alan Pardew and managing director Lee Charnley to determine exactly where Newcastle United are heading. The Chronicle understands that the skipper want assurances about the club’s plans for recruitment this summer. As club captain he felt it was necessary to be able to send out the right message to the dressing room and send out the right tone going forward. Coloccini has never been afraid to express his opinion at United and openly questioned Pardew in the dressing room at Stoke City after he selected Hatem Ben Arfa. Then, Coloccini felt that the Frenchman had won his place back in the team too easily after an outburst the previous week."
  15. Ex Watford Ex Villa x 2 Ex England manager newcastle? Another guy steps out of the Wayback machine? 11 years since last job and he's nearly 70. That's that then. Maybe he's just looking for a quiet place to die.
  16. Wullie, I have just caught up with your article and the thread. Fantastic
  17. Think it had more to do with the fact that Rodgers is a superb manager. Monk seems like a smart guy and may understand the club, but he's not exactly wowed in his short time in charge. Still, I suppose he deserves a full summer to get his ducks in a row. Martinez, Sousa, Rodgers, Laudrup. There has been an emphasis on young, ball on the deck managers that goes back to the appointment of Martinez in 2007.
  18. Hmm with Swansea it's what got them there.
