Normally I hate to go against players leaving for Europe, but he just isn't ready. He only got a little bit of playing time when he was traded here. While he did well, he immediately got injured and hasn't played since. If he's such a good prospect than why has he played for three MLS teams before the age of 21? major red flag. Fagúndez is a much better prospect. I don't blame him for leaving, most 20-year olds are going to leave to Europe on a free, just wish it was to Ligue 1 or the Eredivisie. Still, he's one of the few strikers Stoke have that is a giant and runs with the ball, he could see decent game time. What's Fagúndez' status with the national team, is he a citizen? He says he's willing to play for the US or Uruguay, but so far has only played for there U-20s. I think he needs still to get full citizenship here before he can play for the US, not sure why he doesn't have it yet since he moved here when he was 5.

The high defensive line was rather sketchy, but I guess it's hard to kill it too much against Madrid. Naismith needs to go. That one play where Mirallas put a near pinpoint ball across the width of the field and Naismith only needed to run on to it, but instead he just started shouting at Mirallas. Wish Barkley would get more playing time, he looks interesting every time I see him play.

I feel like he would at least get guaranteed playing time in the SPL, not sure he would in the championship. He definitely need to go someplace where he can play every week.

They are only one point outside potential WC qualification and would be even higher except they fucked up in the last game due to some terrible defending. They've made a ton progress internationally with a good wave of young players coming through. Jóhannsson was supposed to be the next in line. I think it's a bad decision on his part.

A nation of 300 millions need to pinch a player from a nation of 300.000. Are USA really that bad? What stinks about this is that Aron has had his whole football development in Iceland, has Icelandic parents, with the only connection to the USA being born there. He thinks of himself as an Icelander, but picked USA for WC reasons. Well he was born in Alabama, unlike some people who switch countries. It sucks for Iceland because they've been making a ton of progress and still could actually qualify for this World Cup, so I can see why people are mad. I'm afraid the US will never use him while he could be a difference maker for Iceland if he stayed. The International rules really need to be reviewed.

After the way he left Fulham I lost a lot of respect for him. Never thought the Spurs move was going to work but I still would have wanted him to stay in Europe.

Interesting to see Gauld for the first time, looks the real deal from the few times he's been involved. Didn't realize he was only 17. Looks pretty good out there, though he might be smaller than Campbell. Pretty sure he's a random youngster that I've bought in FM before, it's always funny when they pop up in a real game
