I know, but being able to root for someone like Perez for two years is better than whatever the championship equivalent is. I don't have the time anymore to watch as many non-Newcastle games as I did, so I'd rather see us with a few promising players.

If they are going to can Klinsmann (I don't think 'we' should) they need to can the older players (Dempsey, Jones and so on) as well. What should have happened after the WC was Klinsmann moving to a technical director (or something) and getting a new coach to work under him. Now the situation is probably too awkward for that.

I want to be able to watch 'good' players. I have a better chance of that in the Premier League. It's a purely selfish reason as I'm not from Newcastle so I can't blame anyone who thinks the opposite.

I don't think we are doomed. Bournemouth and WBA are probably catchable. It's going to be another horrific season though.. The annoying thing is that Villa and Sunderland will at least make changes, we won't.
