  1. Good lot of pens so far. The second Brighton one may well be the perfect way to take a pen.
  2. That’s a canny sly tackle from Mitoma like.
  3. Both sides seem reluctant to score, with a tie in the final against Manchester looming over them.
  4. Ste

    Joelinton

Moment towards the end where Kane was trying to organise a press, and big Joe turns his man under pressure and gallops into acres of space. Absolute quality.
  5. Gordon being involved gets the crowd up for it, yes, but in a negative way. Take away the support for their team as it’ll be turned towards jeers for an ex Everton man.
  6. Id be very tempted to, though it would be harsh for anyone who started today to be left out. Depends entirely on where his head is at, but I’d be getting the message across to him to prove his point and leave it behind for good, though he’ll likely have to do that from the bench.
  7. What a tremendous effort, all season long we’ve kept up the effort and energy and I hope for the lads in that dressing room especially (as well as us fans obv) that they get top 4. They haven’t stopped pushing, learning, stepping up at the right times to make this remarkable journey since the takeover happen. Unreal scenes. I hope Eddie finds a moment to enjoy it as well as scrutinise the small things we could improve on today during his 7th or 8th watch through.
  8. We've been bent owa and taken today, gently but firmly.
  9. The standard of coaching in the league is absolutely rank, both us and Villa have benefitted massively from being well coached and becoming better than the sum of our parts. We’re losing this on mentality. Other than the Man U league game, we’ve looked quite fragile since the Cup final.
  10. We will make the changes we need to now, get a foot up their arses, and go on to win 2-1.
  11. I don’t understand why him moving to China is used against him when he was desperate to stay here, he just expected the club to be ran like a football club. The club had planned in 2015 to improve the training ground and become the first pro club to have carbon neutral training facilities in the world. By the time Rafa left, they had created a room to encourage players to stay longer at training and bond, and stuck a picture of St James behind Rafas desk. The club had decided to shelf the plans for the training ground and focus the money on the first team. We made a profit on player trading in the time Rafa was here. Rafa wanted the facilities to be in line with at least Bournemouth. The club let him down. He wanted control over a project the club would have been able to afford easily if we had maximised the potential of the club instead of prioritising Sports Direct advertising and poorly paid shirt sponsors. He was defensive purely because the squad was poor. When improvements were gradually made, we opened up and played good football. Rafa had compendiums of transfer targets, how many pages do you think you had to turn before you landed on Lazaars name, Sels, Mutos.. Rafa worked wonders here. I don’t blame him for leaving, I don’t blame him for moving to China, I blame Ashley for using the club as a vehicle for his Sports Direct stores and for placing men in charge of the financials who cared even less about football than him. We’re so early into our new owners time here, and other than certain sponsorships, they’ve done nothing yet that Ashley couldn’t have done if he hadn’t let our deals fall far behind the clubs we were level with when he bought us. For 14 years of his time here, this club just needed people in charge with the right ideas and a gentle push in the right direction, which is what Staveley and co have done.
  12. Thinking about it, if I were Rafa I’d be keeping a close eye on Wrexham over the next few years.
  13. He needs a top flight club that will be ready made for him and on the up, but his stock has fallen so much he won’t get that. He needs a rebuild job and I think if he doesn’t get Leicester who I think will suit him right now, he needs to be looking at top half Champo clubs.

    Anthony Gordon

I get where Gordon is coming from, I don’t think at the time he understood the situation and took it as a slight on the way the game was going from a personal standpoint. He shouldn’t have reacted that way, but I get it. Either way, it’s a non issue and I don’t think we will see it from him again.

    Anthony Gordon

Heard he chucked his keeper gloves at Howe in the dressing room, moments after the group photo.
  16. Superb effort. It wasn't perfect, but it's been tough on the legs. 5 wins on the bounce, we absolutely have to keep our heads now and keep the wins coming. A welcome week ahead of training ground work.
  17. Cheers Toney, bet on him to miss a penalty today.
  18. I’d be fucking livid if one of ours made an error like that, what a fucking divvy.
  19. This is the issue. Pope has to still go for it, Zouma should have been picked up.
  20. Team news always gets this kind of reaction from some.
  21. Im not criticising as such, I’m wondering what their plan was? It felt like the game was allowed to be taken from them with no real answer except the last ditch subs at the end.
  22. I don’t understand what the game plan was for them? I don’t believe that ETH believes we are the team he said, did they try to ride it out and rely on their attackers taking their chances and ours floundering? De Gea making that incredible save in the first half should have been the wake up call if it hadn’t sounded numerous times for them already, you change it up then. Our style is hard to combat, you either sit off or match it which is ideally what we want. It’s also hard to get right week after week but we seem to now by and large.
  23. And Womb Raider rounds it off, great day at the office lads. Man United in the mud.
