He won't be sacked unless a significant amount of people stop going to games IMO. The cost of sacking him from his 8 year deal alone would be off putting enough. We won't go down therefore he will stay.

Ask yourselves the question; do you honestly believe if we hadn't played Maritimo on Thursday night, would the performance be any better? I'm not saying sack him, I just think he needs to go straight back to the drawing board and look at how he conducts training sessions.

I just think it's a very defeatist attitude to take. If I were a Southampton player I'd be really looking forward to getting stuck into our tired opposition today. It gives the opposition that little boost, we've already lost the mental battle.
  4. I'm no gambling expert, far from it, but the odds seem pretty good for an away win today.

In the Championship, we did have the huge benefit of being by far and away the best team in the division though. Knowing the squad had Europe this season and not making the necessary moves in the transfer market was a huge mistake. There are ways to balance the League and Europe, it just requires hard work and commitment. It's easy to hide behind these stats and it's probably the right move, rather than coming out and saying we simply haven't been good enough. Hopefully, on the training ground and the dressing room he isn't taking these stats seriously and each player is being given the correct information and advice to improve.
  6. Predicting a tight 2-1 win. They can't keep a clean sheet but have scored in all but two games this season. Will be nervy but I think we'll do just enough.

In defence of Nile, it was two for Tuesdays.

Good points in that Sunday Sun article, granted, but are the demands of the Europa League really that big of a surprise?

How could you forget Paulo Ferreira? Holy shit, he's still there.
  10. Erm ... why did this guy play against Heaton?
  11. Watching the highlights of the Wigan game, think Pardew could take a few notes from the way they attack. Technically worse players than ours, yet they look much more dangerous at times with the way they commit defenders by actually making off the ball runs and not being so static.

Can't see him getting onto the pitch unless there's injuries or we take a comfortable lead.
  13. Redknapp confirmed as QPR manager. 2 and a half year contract.
  14. Love that this is the first anyone has seen of his Movember effort and it's the 20th.
  15. It's a huge pricetag to carry around everytime he steps onto a pitch. Not many would do well under the pressure.

Does something good then follows it up with a daft celebration like that. Robbie Keane could celebrate like he did as he never had previous for armed robbery.
  17. Can't afford a bairn on £10k a week. I'm doing it on £12k a year.

Still absolutely positive this lot will be relegated.
  20. Just hope he's a sensible lad with the right kind of people around him, people who have the power and influence to take his career down the right path.

Though it is a worry with the travelling and extra games for him, I do genuinely feel happy for him and wish him luck.

After last season, expectations were naturally very high for this season. We've had an unspectacular start, but we have proven difficult to beat, West Ham aside. His insistence on 4-4-2 is an annoyance, but this early into the season and after last seasons great achievement, I find any talk of sacking him incredulous.
