Mason Mount to Sunderland gives me Jack Rodwell vibes.

    Marc Guehi

And back up due to the 2 goals he scored for us this season.

On sale at the Sunderland club shop, in preparation for next season.
  4. Just remember Roger Thames at Middlesbrough in 1993, after we beat them 3-1 in the league cup down there. End of the game Newcastle Supporters kept back, and the commentators had to make their way from the gantry in one stand to exit to the main stand, past the Newcastle Supporters. Thames obviously got pelters for being a Mackem, then followed by Steve Sutton from Look North, who got loads of cheers while Thames was still in earshot.
  5. So did the transfer window open before the 1st June, then?

Poor VAR, why is it getting the blame?? It didn't even have the chance to intervene because of Blowy McBlowface, the ref.
  7. Wew, this is a surprise, right ahead of an important summer window??

Ah aye, I do remember that name, but I had checked Wikipedia and couldn't see him mentioned.

But that's the thing. Kicking the ball out of a keepers hands is generally always a foul. So the distance away he was, he probably couldn't see that hands weren't on the ball, so whilst a massive assumption that the keeper had the ball under control, there was little clear evidence for him that he didn't. hence he blew his whistle. MOTD and such like calling a 'massive howler' is kind of wrong. Its an error, but definitely think the ref has blown for what he thought he saw, not due to an uncertainty.

  12. Sorry if posted, but just seen this. What in the utter woke nonsense is this... Palace gave Liverpool a guard of honour, who then line up and gave Palace one back??

Just seen a clip on the NE news bulletin of one of their fans (leaving Wembo) saying.... "Theres more value in our squad now, compared to last time we were in the premier league, so I think we're back for good this time" I mean, their squad is made up of players from the EFL isn't it and a few from abroad? And quite a few that played in and came up from the 3rd teir with them?? There isn't anyone with any PL experience, is there??!!

The Jormans obviously think he's another Jewd in the making, but it's telling that he's seemingly happy to bail on them (if he's in/already had talks) as soon as they are promoted to the premeya leygue.
  16. Yep, and this is why we should have been giving Osula more minutes, especially when we had games won, and should be in pre-season/next season. Not saying he should be the back up to Isak (yet), but can't have helped him seeing Wilson come on repeatedly and making little difference on the pitch.

Yep, they mentioned that on MOTD, saying the wording is still quite ambiguous.

Probably already mentioned on one of the other threads, but remember Martinez doing a similar foul on Miggy in the opener last season, and wasn't red carded. Probably due to Miggy being closer to the touchline, but the intention was the same as he did to Hoiland yesterday.

Honestly, the way Emery was jumping around on the touchline when it happened, there is absolutely no way he could have seen from where he was whether it was actually a foul, and then the way he went on when the penalty was given (exaggerated applause for the ref). Absolute tool.
