  1. Yeah, watching on Sky One and its like training match now. Oh... fake crowd coming back. Must have been for a slash.
  2. Odd seeing Matt Ritchie without his ususl haircut. So these water breaks are a new thing too, and a chance for a mini team talk? Guess each player has their own bottle?
  3. Said it on the Bruce thread, but Sourness saying the reason supporters didn't want Bruce was due to his Sunderland connection. Yep, definitely the reason.
  4. Guess the apparent crack down on IP piracy can only be a positive, and hopefully one of the things the PL has asked them to do to facilitate an approval. Fingers crossed (again) for this week, then! Its my birthday next sunday, like... so lets hope its gonna be a double celebration!
  5. Souness on sky: "a large majority of supporters didn't want him (Bruce) there due to his connections to Sunderland" Yes Graeme, thats why he wasn't wanted.
  6. I may be wrong with the 'turned it down twice' thing, but he was linked with job when Souness was sacked and he was still Birmingham manager, and then again when Keegan left in 2008 and he managed Wigan. Pretty certain he did turn it down again or at least distance himself from it on either/both occassions. Of course we know how loyal a bloke Steve is, so hardly surprising he turned down and/or distanced himself from his boyhood club on so many occassions.

    St James' Park

That is exactly what he's got... Well, aye but still acceptable and not font size 6121 Sports Direct banners maximising all available space being an eyesore. Should there even be any more SD logos on those banners though? From what i've seen so far, most clubs only had their main shirt sponsor on the extra seat banners. Of course, we aren't most clubs, and are still presently owned by a tw@t.
  8. "Bruce has waited 16 years for the chance to manage his boyhood club" Aye, waited 16 years for the chance, yet turned it down the two times he was offered the job during those 16 years. 'Boyhood club' indeed.
  9. First of these restart matches i've watched, and to be honest i don't mind the fake crowd noise. Better than watching what would otherwise sound like a training match. Just a slight satellite delay on cheers/goal celebrations.
  10. Thought the premier league didn’t announce anything ? Yeah he said they don't/wouldn't normally, but given the level of interest, scrutiny and way its been played out in public and for the reasons, they may do this time - either way, I'd guess if its approved or denied.
  11. Just listened to that, pretty good and balanced. Basically saying there have been indications from the PL the decision might be this week. Says NUFC would be informed of the decision first, who would then inform the buyers. Buyers if successful wont make formal announcement until transfer of funds is complete. Unclear if PL will make their own announcement - they don't normally, but may do on this given level of scrutiny/interest its had. #Wait #Cans #Maybe
  12. Latest from 'paperback'... "Henry Mauriss is believed to have been told he must submit a 5% deposit if he is to be considered a serious bidder to buy Newcastle United." Erm.
  13. Where is that from? Pretty damning. That aside he brokers deals and moves money around therefore it might be a case he’s got backing from other parties and he’s just the head of it like staveley. The extra £50m though would suggest its spread over time, which means it’ll be more of the same just without Ashley making decisions but no doubt still having his cancerous claws stuck in the club. That quotes above is from this website (courtesy of Google)... https://www.scamguard.com/clearvisiondigitalnetworkscom/
  14. Unlike Edwards, Craig Hope seems to be exercising a degree of skepticism...
  15. He's desperate for the Staveley/Saudi bid to fail, like. Meh, hopefully this has just been leaked as bluster to try and pressure the PL into a decision either way.
  16. Look North running with the line that the 'WTO report states SA are behind the piracy'. Magedia indeed.
  17. Valid point posted in replies to Ian Dennis' tweet? Agree - thought this report was all about the SA/Qatar IP/Piracy thing and instigated well before the takeover. So why would it reference it at all?
