Ceballos has been unbelievable. Hopefully he'll go somewhere where he plays every week
-
Those Spain and Italy squads would beat most senior sides. Mikky Merino on the bench
-
Handball is so awful. Pen to Paraguay, Cardozo buries it
-
Probably should have had this at a smaller stadium than the Maracana. Absolutely nee cunt there
-
There’s pretty much no other managers available and his reputation in Italy is way higher than it is here. well, i mean rafa would have been an amazing fit for them in fairness if they could have convinced him to come but yeah probably not much else about...mourinho will be fewmin Rafa isn't suited to the very biggest clubs IMO
-
Can't think of one off the top of my head
-
Not in a million years would he come here
-
Colombia Argentina should be good tomorrow but the group stages will probably be pretty boring in general. Uruguay, Colombia and Brazil should be the contenders with Argentina being capable of anything as usual. Might be interesting to see where Qatar are at as they have brought their best squad I think and they won the Asian cup

Spain? Not many teams play with wingers with crossing game - are Betis different? They used to play heavily possession based football under Quique Setien but he’s gone now so who knows

Considering 11 was the previous record goals scored in a WWC match, and they tied and subsequently broke that record, I’d say they had plenty of cause to celebrate. I apply equality, er, equally, so if a men’s team went about acting the way the women’s US team did, doing Wrestlemania celebratory moves after scoring 10+ goals, everyone would rightly pillory them for their unsportsmanlike behaviour. I’m applying the same standard for women. Imagine the fewm if Neymar went on like that Neymar’s a c*** in pretty much every aspect of his life though, he doesn’t have to do much to draw the ire of fans. You know him personally like?

Aye this is the bit I found a bit weird

This is the start and the finish of it for me, really. Nice idea, pity it can't be involved in a practical way that doesn't diminish the sport as a spectacle. I've also seen how terrible VAR can be when the most awful version of it was implemented in the Australian A-League. As for the continuous clock, I often compare the play (i.e. tactics and movement) of Australian Football to real football to outsiders, and they stop the clock in a way that positively effects the play. It's certainly a more fair comparison than league, which is about as stop-start as sport gets. Does Gaelic football use a continuous, or stopped, clock? Continuous. My issue with a stopped clock is that I think it would lead to longer stoppages as there isn't the need to get it back started as quickly as possible

The Americans still celebrating these goals remind me of the South Park ep where the kids are up against some NHL team in the Stanley Cup
-
Clearest pen ever
-
America should be disqualified for one of their centre halves being number 7
-
What do you think he did for us? That's basically the exact same as we had
-
They did but also them been better than anything we have in them positions helps Man wijnaldum is so underrated, easily the best player all round we have had in the last 10 years He was awful for half the season, Rafa dropped him for the important games near the end
-
Big CL games: Messi/Ronaldo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> x infinity then Zidane
-
Koeman should beg Robben to come out of retirement. Absolute gash in the final third
-
From a quick glance, Portugal are 7th favourites for Euro 2020 at 14/1. They have a really good team all over the pitch now if they can find a centre half that isn't 35.
-
Netherlands have been horrendous
-
Portugal look far more likely here IMO

I actually really like the idea of it, its another competition to win, and stops meaningless friendlies. Its great for the smaller nations as well. Football isn't just for France, Spain, England, etc. Its great for the likes of Georgia, Gibraltar, Faroe Islands to have meaningful, winnable games Why would the Faroe Islands benefit from this any more than another tournament? Err, because they'll actually win some games obviously Not in a million years. The only thing I can see some like benefits from is that the cash generated is organised centrally. What are you actually arguing against here? You don't think its a good thing that smaller nations have something to aim for and a realistic chance of winning games? Faroe Islands got 5 points in their group, Gibraltar got 6 in theirs, Georgia won their group
