  1. Absolutely we did yes. I credit that to Eddie Howe and the players though. Do you think taking 12 months to replace the CEO is competent?
  2. Oh yeah, that's not hard. "Those daft deluded Geordies could resist the mighty respect Fc? After all we did for them? Who do they think they are? We even let em have a cup to make them feel better but when the big boys come knocking they knew they had to roll over and roll over they did YNWA"
  3. Obviously a balance is needed, in not advocating for a pure Chelsea style set up. The issue we face is we can't afford to get replacements in to facilitate loans for Miley in particular. I'm sure you believe we need to get rid of Willock for example so a replacement for him is a priority before we get an extra body in. I think we need a squad where everyone can contribute to the team and they all have the managers full trust to play. It's not something which can be achieved over night though. I think building and constructing a squad is a artform in itself.
  4. Probably a bit more but that's not the only issue for me. I'm not keen on having so many players at the club who are basically never going to improve and hold little to no value. I want players who are young, hungry and want to improve, not players who have made it and are coasting. Good lord, We've had so many of those.
  5. Yes I understand that. Again I'm not bothered about what he does or doesn't do. I've got my stance hes got his. As I've mentioned this isn't about the money as far as I'm concerned, we had to show the world we won't be bullied and we decided to cut our losses. It may work out fine that's cool but the respect doesn't come back.
  6. Cmon bro, seriously. He had a contract with no means of getting out of it. Whatever he said has no relevance to that. This is precisely why I described what we did as folding because it's what happened.
  7. We offered him a new deal mate, he told us to do one. I understand the points your making however we all have jobs and we won't always get what we want. We don't just go and throw tantrums though and refuse to do our job when that happens. Its just not an excuse which can be used to defend him imo.
  8. I've got no issue with discussing the matter, but repeating myself isn't it. But again, you were equating the approach I wanted us to take with the one we took and they aren't the same so I wanted to clarify.
  9. As I've said and I will say one last time for you. I wouldn't have sold to Liverpool in this window no matter what.
  10. You asked me what I would have done and I've told you. Despite that you keep equating what I would have done with what the club did. As I said, if you believe the club did the right thing and handled it well that's absolutely fine, however the appearance we've given is we tuck our tail. That's it. I'm aware why the club did what they did and it doesn't change my impression of it.
  11. Exactly he was a complete prick and was only interested in himself. Most of this board accepted wed get one more season max and I think everyone was ok with it. The fact he forced his little move when everyone had spent up absolutely fucked us. I hear your point and if our ambitions don't match our bluster then all of our stars will go as well, it's understandable but at least be respectful about it.
  12. Again so they didn't follow my strategy. I'm not sure if your trying to bait me or being deliberately dense?
  13. So that means the club didn't follow the strategy I would have. Unless your telling me, one of Isak, Liverpool or Lemic were the ones who could unilaterally sell him?
  14. Your muddying the waters fam Before this all kicked off absolutely nobody begrudged him a move it's the way he went about it.
  15. No, it wasn't the club strategy the club sold him. I wouldn't sell for Liverpool under any circumstance in this window. He could have told me he wanted to fuck my dead mother I'd just laugh in his face. This isn't about money, this is about laying down your marker for everyone to see and we folded at the last minute. Again, you can be fine with that and think it was the right thing to do. That's alright with me but personally it's not something I would ever do. Nothing would have left us without anything the two things aren't linked. Psr is a 3 year cycle we can buy wissa and be fine.
  16. It's simple. We do not sell to them under ant circumstances. I've broken down my approach previously but it's as simple as that. I'm not selling any player who's been tapped up and acting like a child. I sell players in two scenarios. 1, a win win. Club wins player wins. 2, club wins. No other such scenarios would enter my thoughts.
  17. I'd hate having those two personally. Not because they are terrible, but financially these are two players who wont improve and will be on very good salaries. They are financial nooses and likely won't even get the opportunity to contribute enough not to be.
  18. according to Sky they have 15m of transfer profit this window. and worryingly for them they probably didn't reduce the wage bill by much at all.
  19. Lemic talked his shit fair play, I'd hope the club never deal with him again. I'd hope PIF took the same approach but we know that isn't a thing so.
