  1. Joke of a decision but hopefully this puts an end to FFP. It only serves to reinforce the status quo.
  2. Why would the EPL be busy with matters which relate to Manchester City and Uefa?
  3. It’s almost as if, for the last 10 years we’ve gone all in on the divide and conquer politics route. Which is reflected in all walks of society.
  4. Is this just a guess or have I missed some announcement about this?? It’s yet another classic NO stab in the dark.
  5. I’m not sure, maybe they have some form of council but I imagine it’s a very small circle.
  6. With regards to leaks, I’m not surprised. The only parties privy to this will likely be masters and the Lawyers.
  7. I’m not sure this would be the case given they are both minority shareholders.
  8. Thank you for the updates. Appreciate you sharing the information
  9. I’m sure from the Saudi perspective they are frustrated. It’s not often someone wishes to invest large sums of money into the country and it’s met with such resistance.
  10. Couldn’t agree more with this. Should the takeover go through we need players who will take us to the next level. I don’t think think Bentaleb is someone who fits this criteria.
  11. It’s almost as his managerial record reflects the jobs he’s got. Also if he wasn’t an ex pro he wouldn’t even be able to manage those clubs.
  12. As Long as he could have kept us in the premier league he would have been here imo. Yep agreed. There was certainly no sign of Ashley wanting rid afaik. None from Ashley’s side. I think, the fans finally waking up and giving him stick broke him though.
  13. As Long as he could have kept us in the premier league he would have been here imo.
  14. It said he was on the board but likely not involved in the deal didn't it? Oh he is? My bad then. Can’t imagine the Saudis will be thrilled with having ministers grilled by the PL.
  15. Also if true, I’m not sure how the premier league can request to speak to a Saudi minister if he isn’t apart of the PIF. The PL seem to be backing themselves in to a corner and shouldn’t over estimate the leverage they have.
  16. All the PL's finance comes from the broadcasters. Sky Sports apart, BeIN are the PL's biggest broadcasting partner in terms of how much money they give to the PL. It's perfectly understandable that they have to keep them happy.. even discarding Qatar's reputation for large-scale corruption of football officials. In the context of the fit and proper persons test I just don’t see it.
  17. Still don’t understand how BEIN have been afforded any influence in this matter.
  18. You think it's too far fetched? If anything, it makes sense to me. Also worth remembering that when he became a billionaire (upon listing) he'd almost certainly have moved some of that money into commercial property as most mega rich folk do. It's just another asset class for them. Alan Sugar for example owns Amsprop which owns a fair bit of London commercial real estate and he bought that after making his money. Makes perfect sense to me too. He can diversify into rent seeking.
  19. Yup, i really dont understand how anyone can rate Bruce.
  20. Imagine spewing that with a straight face.
