No chance of Tiote being dropped I don't think Delph really offers much more. Eh? They're different sort of centre-mids for a start. Tiote, useful as he can be at times, has next to nowt to his game. Delph gets forward really well and is capable of getting a few goals. 3 premier league goals in his career suggests otherwise. My point being Delph and Tiote in a 442 isn't going to be anything other than an average central midfield two. Throw Anita in and make it a 3 and it doesn't really make it much better imo

Too bad he doesn't have the ability to lace Cabaye's boots

still part of his sports direct group. Yup him buying rangers would have zero affect on us, especially as we have no intentions of trying to get into any European competition.
-
Delph or Weimann aren't going to take us further forward IMO. I wouldn't describe Delph as an upgrade on Anita or Tiote and given our limited budget I'd rather not see us overpay for a squad player. Weimann hasn't really pushed on and again I'm not sure he's that much better than what we have or capable of getting

I do think we are stuck with Pardew personally however I'm taking these media reports with a huge pinch of salt. It's these same journalists that complain mike Ashley doesn't speak that suddenly have sources close to him. Either way we will know more in a week or two
-
A club that will pay him more, give him a chance to play in the champions league and show some ambition? I can't think why a player wouldn't want to sign for them like.
-
Yes he has come out with the whole next season the football will be better bullshit. The amount of double speak that comes from his mouth is a joke, after we sold Cabaye we were going back to basics as we didn't possess the players to play on the deck
-
Disagree, IMO he's better with a proper DM where his job is to keep the ball moving. A bit like Lucas and Allen at Liverpool. He's too weak physically for any other role for me like. Also distributing the ball is a big part of the role I mentioned originally
-
He's a good little player but for me he's only viable in a 433 playing as the deepest player in midfield covering the fullbacks and the space in front of the defence.

What's made you come to that conclusion? The meeting with Ashley, the arguments with pards, then sudden change of heart. And just a hunch really Can't see it myself like, I think we are stuck with Pardew regardless. As far as the board is concerned he's hit target and earnt himself a nice bonus. In fact his case is stronger for even more oversight in their eyes

No different to Pardew's to be fair. At least his make it past the half way line every now and again.
-
Even have a Tifosi
-
Playing next to Ben Turner would make any CB look poor. Makes Williamson look like the second coming of Baresi.
-
Better than Willo & Taylor IMO.

Front page of the chronicle? Who says fans can't do anything this is fantastic
-
Would pulis be anywhere on my list? No. I'd take him any day over Pardew mind
-
Aye can't believe people are advocating this, this is how we ended up with Pardew, woodman and the likes
-
Why hasn't Beardsley? He was an absolute genius as a footballer. I'd like to think he does? Also until recently all he did was over see development which implies he had a less hands on roll

The guy who said we didn't understand but refused to enlighten us?
-
What could Shola actually teach anyone? If he does have anything to teach why hasn't he applied it to his own game?
-
I hope he never returns in any capacity whatsoever. I really cannot begrudge the lad at all, I think he believes he is good enough and has put his body through a lot of pain to be available. His heart is in the right place and he comes across quite intelligent despite what you see from him on the pitch. I would love him to stay on as a coach if he has the capabilities. I know a lot think he should have f***ed off if he wanted the best for the club but personally I don't think it would have changed a thing, we wouldn't have turned around and said "well Shola's gone, better replace him with a top class striker", we would have ended up with someone of the same ability or worse. The lad has been handed an opportunity any of us would have taken and has tried his best, unfortunately that often hasn't been good enough but to repeat the old cliché he doesn't pick himself. You want Shola to coach our strikers? Honestly? If he is good enough then why not? I'd assume because we've all seen his ability as a striker? Imagine Shola trying to tell Remy (yeah, I know) how to improve I hope he never returns in any capacity whatsoever. Imagine Shola telling our kids how to strike the ball cleanly If any of that was relevant Beardsley would be doing Mourinho's job and Mourinho would still be translating. Shola has probably played more games at a higher level than Mourinho, Ferguson and Wenger combined. As I said, IF he has the capabilities then I would love him to stay on as a coach. He is a local lad who has the club in his heart. Nonsense. What you're saying is because Shola is Shola he should be given a chance to try his hand at coaching. How about we find coaches who actually have ability? Far too novel for this club. Depressing thing is Cajuns misguided thoughts are now accurate than common sense where this club is concerned
