Sorry but that performance was an anomaly, our performances all season have been rotten. I don't agree. However I wouldn't argue that we have been good. My main issue is with the use of the phrase, "papering over the cracks." A win might hide bigger issues but "papering over the cracks" is wrong. It certainly isn't, particularly for those of us who didn't want him in the first place.

Well since he's naturally a right winger, giving him the chance to attack on his natural side would make sense, would it not? We're playing WBA, not Arsenal or Man City. Our first priority should be attacking the game before anything else. Townsend is only classed as right sided due to his ability to cut inside and shoot from range.

Because him saying we were tremendous when we weren't creates a losers mentality and gives the impression performance which are below par are acceptable. That comment after the Watford game was embarrassing but aside from that I think he's been fair. In that article I linked earlier he said something like he can't be positive after what happened at Everton. Today is massive for him. Disagree mate its only a couple of days ago he said we have deserved to win the majority of our games or something along those lines. He's full of s*** and a crap manager to boot. Haha!
