    Shola Ameobi

I hope he never returns in any capacity whatsoever. I really cannot begrudge the lad at all, I think he believes he is good enough and has put his body through a lot of pain to be available. His heart is in the right place and he comes across quite intelligent despite what you see from him on the pitch. I would love him to stay on as a coach if he has the capabilities. I know a lot think he should have f***ed off if he wanted the best for the club but personally I don't think it would have changed a thing, we wouldn't have turned around and said "well Shola's gone, better replace him with a top class striker", we would have ended up with someone of the same ability or worse. The lad has been handed an opportunity any of us would have taken and has tried his best, unfortunately that often hasn't been good enough but to repeat the old cliché he doesn't pick himself. You want Shola to coach our strikers? Honestly? If he is good enough then why not? I'd assume because we've all seen his ability as a striker? Imagine Shola trying to tell Remy (yeah, I know) how to improve I hope he never returns in any capacity whatsoever. Imagine Shola telling our kids how to strike the ball cleanly If any of that was relevant Beardsley would be doing Mourinho's job and Mourinho would still be translating. Shola has probably played more games at a higher level than Mourinho, Ferguson and Wenger combined. As I said, if he has the capabilities then I would love him to stay on as a coach. He is a local lad who has the club in his heart. He's not played at a high level to any sort of standard. Also why are we comparing management with coaching? The 3 you mentioned all command respect either through fear, achievement or dearth of knowledge does Shola?

really don't think there was ever a chance once he was free of the charges this was always a temporary stop for him to try and get into world cup squad and advertise himself to all these big clubs. I think this is wrong. Players want to play for a club which is going somewhere, so some like Cabaye will come here with dreams of playing in front of 50,000 but when reality hits home that this is a club run on a shoestring with a manager plucked from the scrap heap, they understably get disillusioned. Especially when we tell them we aim to be in the champions league lol
  4. I'd prefer that didn't happen. 6 or 7 will be fine. that exchange man what has happened to us We've all been Pardewed
  5. Can barely dribble and can't cross or shoot. World beater tbh So now Jonas could barely dribble? The f*** were the opposing fullbacks doing then when he came here? End product was always abysmal but can't see how anyone could say he couldn't get past his man. Good dribbler in his first few seasons, certainly. He beat his man sure, i'm not sure how much he knew about it though.

  7. All this behind the scenes talk and no one willing to enlighten us? What are we supposed to think?
  8. Milan winning 1-0 seedorf is such a gentleman
  9. Milan vs Inter - one of Milan's biggest problems is everyone wants It feet and no one is willing to run in behind.
  10. Only reason why I looked forward to the Cardiff game and it will be the only reason I look forward to this

just asking like?! Aye, Shola got a clap out of me whilst I was muttering 'I hope this is the last f***ing time I need to do this'. Go on Brett lad, your turning the corner.
  12. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m46ts7BRN71qbxj8t.gif We aren't that lucky. Fully expect Shola to be here in one form or another next year.
  13. Aye If they could grab a Hernandez from Man UTD they'd make a deadly combo for me.
  14. Don't f***ing bother, Stan. He'll only call to find out the best dogging locations in the North East like.
  15. Loving these especially the Martinez vs Pardew quotes.
  16. Nothing right with him either. We are NUFC ffs.
  17. Then the media fall over themselves telling us we have no creative players and that we sold our best, most creative player in January. When the reality of the situation is Pardew did his level best to peddle him and knew he was going to be sold on January, on top of all this he's frozen out the other 2 creative players we have in the squad. Fucking remarkable.
  18. Aye only player of theirs I'd have is Olsson.

An option to buy clause makes no difference. The decision would have still been Remy's to make and as we all pretty much knew he wasn't staying here beyond a season. If we had ambition (replaced Cabaye) and signed a few players of similar quality, he may have wanted to. But then again he would still be working under Pardew, which is a afir enough reason not to sign. Nay chance for me. As I stated earlier, He choose to sign for QPR over us, that should tell you all you need to know. No doubting he's a good player mind but his mind is firmly focused on how much he can earn not what he can win.
  20. been saying this for 2 years while pardew has them standing still in lines kicking the ball to ba etc. and people were saying it was down to the players for f***s sakes I remember, in the 5th season, when we played at WBA (a) we broke from one of their corners and HBA, Ba and Cisse (I think?) combined to score having broke from the edge of our box to score in about 15 seconds. For the first time since a SBR team I actually thought we were on to something. I've not thought that since. he's a f***ing lunatic for not trying to stick with that pardew like, only a lunatic or a diagnosed moron could have watched us in that game (around that time actually) and not thought to himself "well, by luck or good management i've stumbled onto something here which clearly works and everyone loves, this is what i'm going to do going forward" what a t*** the man is Exactly. It's staggering that we've never played like that since. It was clearly working and was just abandoned for no obvious reason. Lunatic is the perfect word. Cacked himself after the Wigan game. Then we hasn't he cacked himself after Liverpool, mackems twice, spurs, everton, man utd, etc..etc..etc.. continuously persisting with the 442/451 abortion? He simply just hasn't got a clue. He makes us as compact as possible and wonders why we have no fret. Funniest thing about the whole scenario is he actually talks like we do pose a fret.

More his level to be fair. Its sad because if we had any sort of ambition, we are a perfect club for him. Yes and no he really doesn't have the stomach for any sort or fight tbh. Given the fact he choose QPR over us shows he's the one who lacks ambition as well. Was great to have him but won't shed no tears at his departure.
