Again another very good point which is attributed to Pardew negative tactics. When we defend we bring the entire team back which means when we do get the ball we can't transition as we have no players in positions to either retain possession or counter

We struggle with the basics of ball retention and our manager thinks we need to play route one football. I'm still lamenting the fact now Cabaye has gone we aren't even attempting to play with a pivot.
