  1. City and Pep being punished for being stubborn and arrogant is great. It's just a shame all of the challenges are thoroughly unlikeable.
  2. I could be mistaken but they aren't backed to the extent they were previously.
  3. They do aye poached Arsenals sporting director, the absolute nerve of them.
  4. I totally understand where they are coming from and it will obviously be gutting to get a price hike. At the same time it doesn't make any much sense for some to be charged so little whilst others are paying much more. At some point regardless of the ground they will getting a hike though.
  5. Probably incorrect reports based upon poorly understood assumptions.
  6. This is probably the big question mark which might get challenged again but the devil will be in the detail.
  7. The path to establishment is yoyoing for a couple of seasons PL TV money plus parachute payments combined with the EFL strict ffp rules are great moats. If it becomes a free for all the person with the biggest wallet wins.
  8. Why would those clubs be in favour. Correct me I'm wrong but Leicester won't be investing at the same level as us or city. Chelsea are very much a cartel club we shouldnt confuse the current ownership structure of Chelsea to Abramovich. And Everton are in the process of being taken over by Americans.
  9. Because they are backwards looking. They know they can't ever win the league so protecting their position makes sense to them. If the shackles come off in the premier league a dominee affect might be created. Most clubs are owned by investors who are looking to make money for as little investment as possible.
  10. The proposed super league was to break away from Uefa. They would have continued to boss the premier league with the rules super league or not. And it doesn't beggar belief if your one of those other clubs and can't/unwilling to compete. It actually makes sense for them to take this position.
  11. 16 clubs voted for the status quo because they benefit from it. Most clubs aren't ambitious to the point of challenging the elite.
  12. Yeah this makes perfect sense 3 clubs outside of city with ambition to be more than these rules allow. If I have any low blood pressure I'll get myself over to reddit and read the red top fans gloat about how just these rules are.
  13. Still ruing the fact we didn't sell him when we had the chance.
  14. Absolutely economics will be the limiting factor for sure to an extent. Tickets can always be sold to third parties to sell or bundled with other purchases for instance.
  15. Possibly but of course if the PL and it's new rules are legally compliant then nothing is to be done.
  16. So because people aren't from or living in the area they are second class fans who aren't worthy of opinion ? Or opinions which count for less?
  17. As I've stated previously prices are going up regardless of weather we move or not. This is the trend both in football but in the wider entertainment industry. It's a given at this point. It's obvious at this point if we wish to compete we have to increase our revenue and a new stadium is the platform in which to do this. Maybe my brain power is used for the day but I'm not sure what other point your making here.
  18. Its a proper grim narrative, us and glory seeking are mutually exclusive at this stage
  19. No, they aren't at odds at all. It seems your post is based upon the notion prices won't increase to that point at SJP Especially as demand is so high and tickets are so limited. If anything prices should rocket at SJP due to this fact.
  20. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5935146/2024/11/21/eales-mitchell-stadium-newcastle/ A piece worth reading from Waugh believe it or not.
  21. Our firesale wasn't about giving us headroom, it was purely about bringing our ffp deficit down. We were way over and that's with the fantastic growth we experienced. Now imagine if Ashley hadn't been a tight a cunt and our revenue didn't grow. We wouldn't have been able to do anything Ffp/PSR is such a clever bit of manipulation I've got to admire it.
