  1. The problem with such questions is become Luddite’s about the matter, a lot will genuinely not want to move or do anything if it involves any form of personal sacrifice. IMO it’s patently obvious we need a new stadium mind but no matter what is decided a lot of people are going to be upset.
  2. It’s temporary; we can’t have our cake and eat it. If the fans insist on staying in the same location a reduced capacity elsewhere is a sacrifice they have to make.
  3. No chance, an extension isn’t going to be a b. If so you’d just rebuild. Spurs stadium cost 1.2b for example.

Fair play for fronting up, not having some of those comments mind. Offering so much Guehi and talking about us overpaying in the past is wild.

Yea but he doesn’t need to risk it because the downside is much more than what we are offering. If he doesn’t get relegated and sells for 50m In the summer Parish has played a blinder.

Your looking at it the wrong way Kaka, what Parish cares about is being in the premier league; if they keep Guehi and don’t get relegated he’s won for another year regardless of how much less they get for him.
  7. I just want us to be able to compete on even footings, if that means spending caps so be it. Of course anything over say 80% or revenue has to be under written by owners so issues of sustainability don’t come up. If we box ourselves in to don’t want to be like x team you run the risk of not being able to compete if that model somehow comes off. Your in luck too KI because the owners who are here to make profit will never allow it to become a Wild West.
  8. Why it would be the right move? If the mongs on twitter can’t grasp that your better off sticking to good old NO
  9. I think he gets a new contract 3+1.
  10. Listening to the athletic podcast on Everton and it’s a decent listen. I think Matt slater is a really good journalist mind, always a good listen.

His salary might be a bit high but nothing Chelsea can’t cope with. He can just warm the bench until Fofana gets injured (which should be any day now). Super low risk inexpensive signing as far as Chelsea are concerned.
  12. Undoubtedly these players were all traded because of PSR but other than the Vlad fee Is Anthony else egregious fee wise? the article struck me as it’s the international week and we have nothing to write about tbh.

Oh yeah absolutely; financially we haven’t lost out in fact we’ve gained. In terms of the other aspects that depends we need to wait and see what they do with the money before making further judgements.
  14. They did indeed, but they are both young and can develop. if they don’t then they’ve manage to do outdo us
  15. Couldn’t agree more, it’s a joke to be frank. I could kinda almost not really understand it Clubs like ourselves had spend 3 times those Cartel clubs but it’s simply not the case. But again, I must tip my hat to those clubs because they’ve executed what is a fantastic stitch up for themselves which won’t be undone because finding an alternative which is actually fair will not pass.

I’m all fumed out thank you for your concern the reason I call it incompetence is because we had a few warning signs to walk away, Parish flapping his gums, Palace starting him even in the league cup Palace totally willing to negotiate on price etc. Ultimately we never agreed a deal with Palace so we were essentially betting the house on something which had sand for foundations. This is why I don’t see it as misfortune, it was somewhat predictable.

For 70m People only stopped talking about the nonsensical price out of desperation to get the deal done. But you also can’t call horrific planning which left us leaving the window empty handed as “unlucky” when it was incompetence.

As I’ve said before the season should be condensed and all of these breaks removed. Either play them all at the start or end of a season and shift the calendar. These games would generate far more interest if they were played in one period of time annually.

Yorkie man ffs. We were stupid for letting it drag in to so near the window closed and should have moved on.
  20. It’s important to remember the shareholders of the leagues are the clubs, so when you see something like this it’s the club that will it.
  21. It’s difficult to change that rule as it’s an accounting rule and although a lot of hang wringing occurs about it, I very doubt it’s something they’d want to close. Ultimately ambitious clubs need the flexibility and despite popular opinion the clubs do not want to loosen the rules as the two proposal voted down at the last meeting showed. The clubs including our own make so many funny statements about psr but the actions taken by them all are contradictory.
  22. They’ve amortised the fee by 40% at least at that stage and that’s based upon them signing someone and sending them straight to the shadow realm. They don’t need to keep value; they just need to make sure they don’t take a loss of 20% annual to break even on the fees. and two important things to remember. 1, they have the best academy in the country, as long as they can sell players for pure profit they are good. 2, they already have strong revenues this helps a lot. Bonus point, we are unlikely to see them spend a billion in 2 years again
  23. Yeah because he wants to play with super high wingers a 10 and a 9. Mainoo has poor positional awareness and Casemiro is finished, Liverpool ate them for breakfast.
