  1. Kinda weird we doubled down on pure physicality but that high press just isn't the same as it was. We seem like we are between two boats with how we want to play.
  2. This isn't surprising, his strength is having space to drive into. We knew he wouldn't shine in this kind of match.
  3. They have a fucking multi view option interrupting our game to show random shit infuriating.
  4. We really need to start renewing or selling earlier btw. 18 months left on his deal come January.

If we blocked him from Afcon we would be. Getting concerned about those 20 goals I was promised though

    Joe Willock

Really is a shame we couldn't move him on in the summer. If he's got a brain he knows Ramsey was his replacement.

Absolutely, my post back then which STM was citing wasn't a reference of future value just a statement of fact. If he comes in and does the business which it certainly looks like is the case it's all irrelevant. The markets we shop in generally mean premiums have to be paid. I've spoken before about how the transfer market has converged to the same profile of player because of PSR which has pushed prices up for that segment.

I think we were fully focused on a striker at that tbh. Reeling from Mitchells departure and trying to figure out a structure to see us through.

It's very relevant, you think Milan turn down an extra million from us and give him cheaper to someone else? The future value of what he may or may not be worth isn't relevant to fact we overpaid at the time. This isn't a complaint it is what it is at this point and obviously the conversation has moved past what we paid.

It's a fact though Doesn't mean he's bad or won't be worth more than what we paid or anything negative. It just means we paid more than what Como would have done.
  12. I used to think this too but I don't think it's feasible and would likely so more harm than good. Best case is a compromise is reached and we ask Brazil not to take the piss like they did last break.

We did overpay but it's alright. The overpay reference relates to Como having a deal done at 20m euro earlier in the window.
  14. God amongst men is Sandro, I hope we can keep him hold of him he can play for anyone he's just that good.

Looked top notch last night didn't break a sweat.
  16. Union are like a Sunday league team diving in at every opportunity. Big goal that, let's keep it tight until half time.
  17. Disagree, not sure time helps us at all if circumstances don't change (new stadium/rules being loosened). We lost a world class striker in the summer because we can't compete and imo we will lose our other world class player this summer as well. The need to rebuild every summer isn't helpful.
  18. Absolutely, despite the club's great effort revenue has obviously risen a lot but we always need more we are still walking a tight rope. If we want to smash the glass ceiling we have to be perfect.
  19. Obviously this is tedious and we've done it to death so I'll just leave it here.
