Sky reporting that Garde to Villa looking unlikely due to issues with backroom staff
-
This. Heard some of 606 and a Villa fan was berated for wanting Sherwood out by them odious t**** Fletcher and Robbie Savage. It was a case of "WELL WHO DO YOU WANT LIKE". Not thinking that the Villa fan obviously watches them week in week out.

Every time the opposition shoot it seems to end up in our net with this bloke. Darlo better come straight in when fit and we don't even know if he's any good yet

F****** sickening this. Of course we aren't without fault, we all know about the deep rooted issues in our squad especially defensively but it doesn't change the fact that we have actually put a performance in for the first time in years and lost again. That game was going our way, end of story. We were so comfortable and as it wore on into the 2nd half they would have become increasingly nervous imo. The previous defeats we have been just plain s***. We just needed to raise our performance and the result would follow is what I thought before it started. Just makes this defeat and the whole day just even more miserable

Still a smug t*** on sky whilst being interviewed

John Carver speaking to the The Star Are there 2 more pointless entities in the world?
-
Good. It means they will be desperate. The whole narrative of this game has become "Cattermole to smash player x,y,z"
-
Just play well and the result will take care of itself. When was the last time we actually turned up v these? Put a performance in and we'll get a result, very simple really.

Mark Douglas mentioned it, hopefully nothing serious
-
Rumoured today to have a calf injury

We really need to play a calm, cool almost calculating type game. We really can't give anything away and concentration has to be absolutely bang on, especially the first 20 minutes. If we can keep it quite tight and pick our moments we should win. The last 5 derbies we have conceded in the first half and sometimes very early in the first half, we can't afford to be chasing the game at any point imo. Comes down to the first goal and if we get it we will be fine.

This 1992er thing man So bitter
-
Spot on, when was the last time we did this in a derby? We've been far too slow and ponderous from the off for donkeys. No coincidence that they have started better and have gone on to win the game.
-
If we had a proper physical CB next to Mbemba who could dominate in the air, plus a goalkeeper who could command his penalty area I reckon we'd beat these comfortably. What we do have back there scares me for a derby against this lot.

Hatem Ben Arfa dribbles past his oppenents

We haven't tested them in one of the last 5 matches. The football we've played has been weak as p*ss and we have surrendered to them. Have the courage to give it a right good go, at the very least. If we do we've got a chance of getting a result
-
They are going to be absolutely minging when we play them yet still beat us
-
Saw a "Big Sam" team absolutetly surrender against us,.a team managed by John Carver on the last day of last season. He had the chance to send us down and they were absolutely s***. He's s***
-
Not serious according to BBC Newcastle, precaution only
-
Hope they get Sam tbh, his football is utterly s***. All this about his teams being rock solid etc is a bit of a myth also imo. His last game in charge at West Ham v us with a chance to send us down I was worried they would be fired up no end, however we couldn't have picked a better game they just completely surrendered - bearing in mind we had Carver.

One thing is for sure a new manager like Dyche/Pearson will mean a highly motivated Sunderland. Versus our fragile and weak as piss side we all know what's coming
