Seems a few are fretting already about the lack of activity thus far, no need imo. Club are clearly looking at players and whilst not completely defending Liar Charnley's time at the club so far he did manage to oversee the signings of Jaanmat, Cabella, De Jong, Perez last summer. Albeit it wasn't an amazing window the club demonstrated at least they can pull signings off. I think players will come through the door and I think there will be activity. Let's just hope when they do they are of the genuine quality that we need.

Yep. The potential benefits of the appointment far outway the risks imo. He was as a fantastic leader on the pitch, hard as nails and commanded respect. No reason that he couldn't bring the same qualities as head coach. Having such a well known figurehead would surely make NUFC a more attractive proposistion for players this summer.
