The whole thing is pointless, the likes of Scudamore have to justify their existence I suppose and IF we get get promoted it will just cause a load of grief. It's like a unique selling point of SJP and when away teams bring a large boisterous following the atmosphere is still really good.

Been mentioned that the Chronicle say NUFC have known about this since the game? Also he has privately denied it to the club and is thinking of contesting it

CM out LB in? Wonder if Shelvey was in their thoughts, playing at a lower level but he's more than capable of replacing Danny Drinkwater on current form. It's not as if he's just played in the championship either he was a squad regular not so long ago.
-
Aye another solid performance from Dummett, he would have scored if he had kept the shot down rather than putting a bit of height on it. Clark is excellent with the ball at his feet, for apparently being error prone he's showing absolutely no sign of it. Albeit a lower standard but not a sniff of an error in his game, been excellent maybe just ruined along with every other Villa player.

The type of game we will thrive in, big crowd on TV. We are excellent away from home 0-2
-
Good first, poor second. We just seemed to want to coast it but fair play to Cardiff they kept going. Won't be remembered just good to get the 3.
-
The last time v these in the Champo was class, Friday night and we about 3-0 up in 20 mins if memory serves. Carroll was unplayable
-
Mbemba was looking excellent prior to that Wolves game and was a big part of our first winning streak this season, he did have a nightmare in that game though and Clarke has snapped his up chance. Hell of a long season and Mbemba will get game time
-
Our squad depth in action, leagues top scorer injured and we bring this lad in. Well done Mitro
-
Hope they play long all day tbh, we have CB's that can cope with it
-
Has an injury which isn't serious apparently but will rule him out tomorrow
-
One of our first priorities if we get back to the PL should be to sign a high quality destroyer type CM to play alongside Shelvey. Would allow him to express himself at the higher level, but aye he clearly is PL quality and his previous issues have been more confidence/mentality rather than ability.

I think the beating we dished out is a good thing for Saturday. Benitez knows very well our biggest enemy is complacency, he's mentions it every week. So winning 6-0 will bring into focus even more the need to avoid thinking we just need to turn up to win. I think Preston will try to come out firing, we will be as we always are away from home and I think we'll win it.
-
We are excellent away from home these days, this will be tough but we will be really well organised as usual and we have the quality to score. I think last night might help as it will bring the need to avoid complacency into focus even more. 0-1

Mackems for me. It's a low risk, high reward game for us. High risk, low reward for them. Would love us to get them, think playing them away would suit us better as well
-
Aye worst we've played this season, Fulham was up there. Although we gifted them the initiative, Mbemba scored the own goal after we had got a bit of a foot hold.
-
It's going to come to a point where they will need to show top 10 form to just keep their heads above water. If they do get going they probably won't be able to afford another really bad spell all season.
-
Defoe's goals have dried up ergo they are f***** until he starts scoring again
-
Aye he's improved of late

Quick post re the non penalty decision in the first half. Don't know if anyone else saw it but as soon as Gayle went down the ref looked over to the linesman and started waving his hand in the air as to signal for offside. I was right in line with it and it looked like the ref has decided Gayle was offside even though there was no flag and he was behind the f***** play . But then he didn't pull play back or whistle and Ipswich cleared. Bizarre as the linesman had a perfect view of the line, rank officiating.

Looking back at this, what a deal for us man
-
The good thing for us is we have him at his most experienced, he is battle hardened from his past jobs and has no doubt learned a lot. If that means warming to players then he knows that is what needs to be done. Love the bloke, I want NUFC to be his club. I want this to be his last job.
