  1. Not a bad first touch but it's his natural goal scoring instinct which gets me. Scored bag loads of goals at every level he's played at consistently. A late bloomer perhaps at 25 but f*** it, a English international center forward, leading the line in the no9 shirt is more than enough to raise a smile. Not an international yet, mind, Only a matter of time before its Kane and Austin up top. Jesus I'm getting far too many cheap thrills out this!

  3. Yup - daily mirror are one of the preferred media outlets. Could be summat in it. Fuck it - I'll be practically jizzing if we get Austin!
  4. Simon Bird is reporting that Austin is as good as a done deal. *trying not to get excited face*
  5. Mark Douglas casually dropping in that were in for Thauvin on Twitter.
  6. From @davidmcrossan .@lequipe has @NUFC interested in Milan forward #Niang says @whufc_official and @SpursOfficial also keen but 20-yr-old set to sign new deal
  7. We'll be bastards to deal with at set pieces with him and Austin up front. If we get either that is. I'm not holding out too much hope....
  8. Carver without the limited brains. No thanks.

    Steve McClaren

He's just gunna be another in a huge line of mediocre British managers we've had since Bobby. Time to change the fucking record.

    Steve McClaren

My biggest gripe with him is his "deer in the headlights" approach to bad runs of form. With Boro, England, Wolfsburg and Derby last year he seemed utterly bereft of ideas when things started to go south. We've had had years of peaks and troughs - why can't the top brass see that McClaren is just Pardew minus the ego and hoof ball!
  11. McClaren will get the job as soon as he walks into the interview with the arse cut out of his pants for a visual metaphor. We're his best chance of another high profile job - he'll say/do whatever he needs to in order to get the job. The mediocrity will continue and it will be as ever thus.
  12. Liverpool are gearing up to announce Ings has signed apparently.
  13. Keeping the three amigo's on as his coaches, having only a partial say in transfers, No guarantee of funds for new players unless the club nearly gets frigging relegated.............there's three just off the top of my head that would put must decent managers/coaches off.
  14. "Part 5 - How to sniff out a shit job - practical section"
  15. Thought Vieira was finishing up his badges today?
  16. That time frame is changing with every piece of "info" as well! Tbh we've waited 6 months for a new manager, whats another two friggin weeks. Eeeeeh us toon fan's and our "high expectations" eh?
  17. Ben Smith @BenSmithBBC Patrick Vieira and Steven McClaren on #NUFC's four-man managerial shortlist. Remi Garde another. Appointment in next fortnight I think it's fair to say that the BBC don't have a fucking clue
  18. That would just confirm the idea that McClaren has the job and the rest of the names are just PR. Possibly. Remi Garde seems to be having another surge of mentions.......if only.
  19. I can't see the comparison tbh. Di Canio came from a League One club where he'd already had a reputation for having clashes with players. Vieira has just spent the last few years overlooking Manchester City developing one of the best youth setups and facilities in world football. Not personality wise just the comparison stacks up with a fairly untested premier league legend coming to a club he's no previous history with and the fans getting a little chub on over it. Tbh I think it's all a bit of a false flag anyway, just summat they'll do to make McClaren shit himself and accept the post with little/no resistance to their strict perimeters.
  20. I don't know why but in my mind I keep coming back to Paolo Di Canio when I try to think of the positives in this one. Could be completely wrong but I can't shake it.
  21. He's nowt but a walking fucking haircut. Any bloke that says he supports newcastle and Sunderland needs gelding, talk about sitting on the fucking fence. Also quite happy to let others do the legwork and then report it as "sky sources understand. . .". In short, he's a fucking helmet.
  22. That'll be Tony Evans from the Times I think. He's always been fairly honest about Heysel although he does tend to fall short in terms of the clubs reaction over the years. That half arsed memorial display they put on was nothing short of a f***ing disgrace. They want the world to stop for 24 hours when the time comes to honour the dead at hillsborough. Here's the article in question though - http://www.lfchistory.net/Articles/Article/3228 Really good, honest account. Dispels the myth that the far right were involved too, as Evans says at the time they just wouldn't have been welcome.
  23. Apparently we've shat ourselves because Mitrovic wanted £69,000 a week. Ambition.
