Been supporting the toon all my life, and the only trophy I have seen us win was the Fairs Cup back in 1969. I know many of you guys didn't even see that. Personally, I just want us to win the EPL or the FA Cup, or the Champions league/Europa Cup once before I die. If it means being taken over by SA then so be it. As has been said in earlier posts if it conflicts with your beliefs on human rights then don't go. I personally wont go on holiday to the USA because of their gun culture and their treatment of ethnic minorities as second class citizens, but I wouldn't dream of imposing my viewpoint on this score on others. And lets not forget how many people the USA executes each year, usually after keeping them on death row for 30 or 40 years, and only executing them when they are completely reformed.

In other words he has set again set a deadline for the prospective buyer and if it doesn't happen probably by a deadline only he knows, he will terminate any talks. Seen it all before...rinse and repeat....

Seems to me that it's in the best interests of Bishop and Barnes that takeover talks collapse. Let's face it every takeover keeps them actively employed. I could easily believe they cause each and every takeover bid to collapse by telling Mike there is no proof of funds and that they are time wasters.

Cant see why everyone thinks Bowen is the answer to our striking woes. Gayle scored more than Bowen in the Championship last season and we are all agreed Gayle isn't good enough for the Epl.

That's what I was thinking. Gayle outscored Bowen in the Championship but clearly cant cut it in the EPL so no guarantee Bowen will be able to score goal.

The more I see of this guy the more I think he would make great centre forward. He has great upper body strength has shown he can head the ball and has the skill to hold up the ball and to bring others into play, plus it means Almiron gets to move to his preferred position on the left although knowing Brewcie he'll put joelinton out on the left instead x

Watched this guy playing for Hoffenhiem in the Bundesleague last season and he looked very average to me. No way was he ever going to be worth £41m. Danny Ings would have bee a much better option. At least he knows how to finish.

This council are so shortsighted. If the club is eventually sold to an ambitious owner the council have overlooked the likelihood that the new owner will simply build a new bigger stadium outside the city centre. There must be numerous city centre businesses that will go under without the fans revenue. I imagine there will be more than 1000 job losses in that event.

Scored less league goals than joselu last season and less than joselu over the last two years. Well that speaks volumes for Joselu seeing as Carroll couldn't play due to injuries. At least he scored or looked like scoring when he was fit unlike Joselu who never looked threat to the opposition goal. Even if Carroll only plays 5 games but scores the winner in those games that's 15 points in the bag.
