Come on man!
He sounds very good and I'd be pleased if we get him, just don't share your heaven or hell outlook.
Gourvennec vs. Carver is heaven or hell like.
True.
Gourvennec seems similar to Galtier, i.e. tactically astute, very good at developing players but somewhat pragmatic. Does anybody here know how Guingamp play? They don't seem to score that many goals.
EDIT: Oh.
Based on what? (apart from him not being Carver..)
I loved him as a player, was obviously a great leader on the pitch. As a coach I think he would take some inspiration from Wenger which can't be bad.
"The likes of Remi Garde, Christophe Galtier and Michael Laudrup, who were all considered in January, are likely to be approached"
Eh, Galtier just signed a new contract, didn't he?
He categorically said in January that if he didn't get the manager's job here, he would look to be no 1 somewhere else. If as I expect, we appoint a new manager, he really should p*ss off. Otherwise what was the point in coming up with such guff in the first place?
Since then he's said he's going nowhere and that if he doesn't get the head coach job the old contract will kick in.
