McClaren's style isn't pretty either (by anyone's definition) and he won the League Cup and the Eredivise. So what? Again: How is Pulis better than McClaren? Coz hees betta at managen footbal teems in the Premya Leeg. You make a strong case.

Not sure the lower leagues are dripping with exciting, attacking-minded managers. Chances are we'd end up with another Carver (or Pardew, who we picked up from League 1).

How is Pulis "better" than McClaren? Pulis has won fuck all and his playing style/football philosophy is way worse than McClaren's.

Sky with a different apprehension from BBC's... "Steve McClaren is set to leave his post as Derby manager later on Friday, Sky sources understand. McClaren and his agent met with the club's chief executive Sam Rush and director Mel Morris on Thursday night, but no agreement was reached. Derby are unhappy with McClaren's refusal to publicly rule himself out of taking over at Newcastle after the Premier League club made an approach for him in January and again last month. It is understood Morris, a Derby businessman, will soon hold a majority share in the Rams and become club chairman. Morris blames McClaren and the Newcastle speculation for Derby's poor finish to the season, which saw them go from top of the Sky Bet Championship in March, to missing out on the play-offs altogether when they were beaten 3-0 at home by Reading on the final day of the season. Further discussions between Derby and McClaren's representatives will take place on Friday, to try to agree a departure deal. McClaren still has two years left on his contract."

Pat Murphy BBC Sport Posted at 08:46 "Steve McClaren is not on the brink of being sacked today by Derby County. "He had a two-hour meeting last night with the club's chief executive Sam Rush - described as positive and open. But McClaren's rumoured departure was not discussed. "I understand it was spelt out to the head coach that there will be tough discussions ahead after Derby's promotion charge faded away - but a parting of the ways or any compensation was not on the agenda. "Rush and McClaren have an excellent working relationship and the head coach still has two years left on his contract."

I agree, but there is, obviously, only one way we can rise from mediocrity, and that is by change of ownership.

This. Mike Ashley is our owner. We're never going to appoint Remi Garde, or Paco Jemez, or Michael Laudrup as long as the blob pulls the strings. We all know this. Hounding Ashley out is our main focus, in the meantime McClaren is as good as it can get, how depressing it may sound.

Do they mention whereabouts he is from? Or whether the man and woman who conceived him were married at the time?

These local journalists should really just stop guessing. It's patently obvious they haven't got a clue what is going on. Aye. IF, we don't know, but IF it's Carver, we COULD well know by Wednesday. Proper ITK.

They're treating it like an arts project rather than a football shirt.

Reminds me off the 99-01 kits, I'm sure they had socks with a blue top. http://www.nufc.com/images/2000-04-10nsxx.jpg

I like that, actually.

Alan Brazil is Scottish... Apparently the source is Graham Courtney who said we'd signed Lacazette last summer and that Pardew to Palace wasn't happening. I don't think anyone knows tbh. But yes, I expect Carver to be in charge next season and I think that's it for me.

Can see LVG wanting to end 2014-15 with a win, it's not like it's been a great season for him. -

So, out of today's team, who will play? De Gea , Valencia , Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Blind, Mata, Ander Herrera, Fellaini, Young, Falcao Subs used: Van Persie, Valdes, Blackett -
Bingo. He's Ashley's poster-boy signing. Subservient, inadequate and cheap. I was going to say bloodless.
