The thing with Pardew is I don't just think he's a shit manager, I also happen to think he's a shit human being who has headbutted a player and called a colleague "an old cunt". And that's just this season, these kinds of events have been notorious throughout his career. He's a disgrace to this fine old football club. So even if Ashley, in the unlikely situation where Pardew is sacked/walks, hires an equally shit manager, I just can't see where he would find an equally shit human being.

I think Ashley probably does care more about our results than most give him credit for. At the end of the day, our transfer policy revolves around the premise of buying players on the cheap and selling them on for a profit. You can't generate interest let alone profitable offers in our players if they're all performing s****. Agreed.

No it's true and something i've banged on about for yonks, defensively set up but we still concede goals at an alarming rate. That's some fine (deliberate?) misinterpreting of the previous posts. Only if you've missed the context, ie defensive managers don't play 'proper' football therefore can't cut it in the CL. Nobody said that though, which was my point. What's funny?
