  1. I answered this question. You didn't like the answer though despite the fact that I added more than the pure fact that just hate him. Did you think that Pardew 'did OK' to get us to 5th or do you put that down to things just going our way that season ? I think Pardew did fairly well that season. But he's a shit manager and it wasn't sustainable. You can think a manager has done okay or fairly well for a season, but also think they aren't a good manager. You can also think they've done a bad job and got lucky.
  2. There's been some terrible "debating" against me this afternoon, but this takes the biscuit. Absolutely nonsensical and ludicrous analogy. It was intentionally ludicrous. The luck Bruce has had this season is ludicrous.
  3. Let's say I went outside with a machine gun and shot at a crowd of children. Somehow, miraculously, I miss every single one of them by inches. No children are hurt. Would you say I've done an acceptable job of not killing children? Do I deserve credit for not slaughtering the children? Miracle after miracle has occurred in loads of our games this season. Quite how that brings you to the conclusion of the man running things is doing a good job I don't know. Let's say those miracles didn't happen and we were in the relegation zone. Would Bruce have done an acceptable job then? Deserve some credit? Bear in mind the job he has done would be no different to the one he has done now.
  4. Bollocks. He’s had a massive amount of luck, we’ve been playing the shittest ‘football’ in 4 divisions and the entire thing is completely unsustainable. Are you going to tell us it was a plan to have our defenders go on an unprecedented scoring spree? Good management that rescued a point with 2 injury time goals? Managing to get past the mighty Rochdale and Oxford in a mere 360 minutes of dross was top class stuff? By rights we should have been bottom of the table and thanking our lucky stars for Covid-19. This. He's shit and has done shit. Don't let rolling double sixes however many times in a row fool you into thinking otherwise.
  5. I feel the same, I'm surprised by the current poll results. I'm in the it's not really "going back" camp. More like picking up where he left off. He only (rightly) went because of Ashley. Now he's out of the picture time to pick it back up again. For all the talk of "deserving a chance" and how I hate the term if it applies to one man it applies to Rafa. And he's more than qualified.
  6. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/apr/19/newcastle-united-seven-priorities-for-the-potential-new-owners It's such a lazy argument, never mind the fact he hasn't done a decent job. Simple question: Is Steve Bruce the man to lead the club going forward - can you see him re-inventing the team and challenging for titles etc. The answer is clearly no. So get rid. Don't "give him a chance". He's not "earned it". Just tell him to fuck off. Every second he remains in the job is time we spend regressing and not making the progress we require.
  7. The fuck is this. Just turned on SSN and it has Sunak doing the coronavirus briefing. I'll put normal news if I want that.
  8. I mean quite apart from being shit banter Cole played for us too.
  9. Pathetic as it would have been lucky not to be off there.
  10. Also this has to be a mistake. There is no way we are paying Shelvey £850,000 a week. 850*100 ≠ 850,000 Fucking hell I'm an idiot. Trained maths teacher too. No wonder the country is going to shit.

  12. It's nice to know you can earn more than a premier league footballer.

We have the second highest xGA in the league!
  14. I mean it's a pretty pathetic red card but he did kick him off the ball. Don't see why just because it was a sissy kick it isn't a red.
  15. So if VAR decided that the foul was in the box then it's a free kick to Chelsea for offside? But because it wasn't a penalty ignore the offside and spurs get the free kick?
  16. Inject this shit into my veins.
  17. On MNF now. Says he will be seeing out his contract.

Because we are massively on the right side of variance. https://understat.com/league/EPL I know xG and xPTS isn't the be all but it's useful in showing a pattern. You just have to watch our games to see how shit we are and how lucky we are getting. It's not sustainable - see Pardew 5th.
  19. This is awful. No way we should be winning this. Carroll is a fucking embarrassment.
  20. As if bruce is even thinking about this sort of thing.
  21. Give the linesman three flags. A red one for definitely offside, an amber one for he might be offside I'm not sure, and a green one for he's onside. If appropriate two flags can be raised at once eg red and amber means he's definitely offside, I think. Not raising a flag is not allowed. Any time a forward pass is made which could result in an offside call a flag must be raised. Having an amber flag raised at any point will cause a VAR review next time play stops. Having a red or green flag raised at any point and having it be the wrong decision means no VAR review but the linesman is taken from the ground and shot so he can be replaced by a more compliant linesman who knows his place and uses the amber flag. All hail our VAR overlords.
  22. Now imagine what Steve Bruce's article about the same subject would contain.
