That replay makes it look worse. The Longstaff's can see there are 4 players near to Vardy in the box, just drop off and protect edge of box. Annoying.

What I was thinking.

Longstaff's were so sloppy there. One of them just needs to drop off and mark Maddison. Both running towards the ball when there is a few players next to Vardy. Poor.

Even with that much room for him he couldn't take it to the right where he could have easily outpaced the defender. Very one footed. No point playing him on the right side as he won't run past anyone on the outside and will just always cut in where the traffic is. The pass was just poor, wasn't even that difficult imo.

I must have turned away and missed it. What did he do that was so fantastic? Not the awful header? Controlled a difficult ball under pressure in defence, took the ball away from two players before releasing a potentially goal scoring opportunity by a raking long pass which was only cut out by an alert Scmheichel who raced off his line to intercept it just in time. Do keep an eye on the game, I don't want to have to explain everything you miss. :lol:
