At the minute I'd have gone yes, but I just don't trust Wilson to stay fit. Especially if he's still going off down south every week after the games.

Apperantly as expected Douglas said last night his loan to Rovers was just Shola offering him to a mate and there was no footballing plan behind it.

Can't believe Zaha is still at Palace.

Really poor goal to concede that

Am I missing something with Cucurella? He's looked decent but 62 million seems insane especially when you signed Chilwell for huge money a year ago.

Moving our best winger or arguably our most important midfielder up front doesn't sound convincing to me like, but hey ho.

In terms of breaking them down if they're playing defensive it's got to be Schar and Botman.

"I hated Matt Ritchie when he played for Scotland, I would hate him here, he has the heart of a mushy pea" Post 6 from that Thread linked Eh? Matt Ritchie is only still in the squad here for Pashun reasons.

Said monster will look like a mouse once he's met Sven Botman.

I think training 5 days a week with Bruno Guimaraes, and having Eddie Howe instructing him is more useful than anything the championship could give him.

Bidding ~20 million under what they want and then walking away doesn't build some tough reputation tbh. It's more likely to make clubs think you're just wasting time. Now if we went to something like 6-8 million off what they said they wanted and said we're leaving that on the table till the end of the window, your choice, then thats tough. -
Sulemana's a real live wire but it feels like the French rehash us monitoring him every couple of weeks.
-
I mean they have Rondon, is he not still revered here?
-
He famously passed it straight at the advertising hoardings while playing for Swansea.

You dont look like tough negotiators by bidding well under the sale price, refusing to come anywhere near it then walking away. -

If weve bid 40m the second time we're just wasting time. -

Mothballing is what you do to a steel plant on Teesside when the parent company pulls out again. -

Nah. Absolutely no chance I'd be taking a loss on him when he's been really good second half of the season. He's currently in the starting 3 imo and even if Maddison comes in he might play wide right which would still leave Willock a starter. -

Their rejection must have had some encouragement that they're up for selling if we've bid again. Do not want to see that "Newcastle are prepared to walk away" headline later this week. Let's get this done. -
Maybe they'll be kind enough to give us Choudhury on loan.

Love us to show the ambition and make this happen. We'd be immense in midfield, said it yesterday but can't stress enough how good him and Bruno would be together with Joelinton continuing to do so much good off the ball work -

If Maddison replaced Willock from today it wouldn't mean Bruno would have to go deeper. Maddison could also play where Ritchie was and do a much more effective version of that. You don't have to play a midfielder on your 18 yard line that's just what Shelvey does.
