Yeah, it's an old fave of mine. I just felt with the way kit design is these days, that it could be made to look decent.
-
I was on about the green blue McEwans ? There's no comparison.
-
Post up a pic please

I would love to see a modern day twist on our green and blue 93 away kit.

How much will we spend in the Summer 2023 transfer window?
mighty__mag replied to Rich's topic in Football
Minimum four signings. Elite players 150m -
Never really a fan of v-neck. It does look nice though.
-
There will be a fair few released, some sold, others loaned, with that said and done I think we'd likely spend around 150m, especially the names being mentioned, the words "elite players" has been used a number of times when talking about future signings, and this squad needs depth to match some of the quality we already have competing in four competitions. I'm going to guess it will be a surprising summer ahead, journalist will continue to dream up stories, it's all they have to do now really.

If the transfer window isn't actually open yet, how are they announcing signings already?

Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)
mighty__mag replied to Disco's topic in Football
Gotta be the biggest load of BS I've heard. Never ever seen him be stroppy, but Gordon only here five minutes and he's already thrown his toys out of the pram after being subbed. Eddie Howe always speaks highly of Saint-Maximin, his relationship with Isak is pretty obvious also. Who's your inside source Heron -
Weirdly I don't think it matters, only because he'll be managed differently, and other players seem to fit better at other clubs. We'll be our own judges.
-
Too busy with a Scott McTominay thread for some weird reason.
-
This would be huge for us. He'll be a popular target for many sides. Would be awesome though, his playing style would be perfect fit.
-
Scoucers being linked all of the sudden to our star man. Dream on you clowns. Stupid press reports " Liverpool make contact with Newcastle " We would've even pick up the call.
-
Sick to death of seeing this thread. How's it even got its own topic
-
He's a complete tosser, that's the direction you don't go. Perfect for Chelsea imo

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)
mighty__mag replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
If I'm Leicester I'd be trying to get Lascelles and/or Dubravka as a player plus cash deal, the experience Lascelles has at championship level, they'd do well to enquire about a couple of ours to support their title challenge, add Anderson on loan to that. Could easily swing Maddison coming here. -

Joelinton does the work of two men pal, so it shouldn't be an issue -

Maddison would be an amazing signing, but, if this is to play on the right then I'd much prefer Moussa Diaby. Maddison should be our number 10. Infact sign Maddison and Diaby please. Those two would get you 20 assists between them averaging their recent seasons. -
Martin Dubrovnik was a good one from that lass.

Would love us to try for Enciso

Player of the Season: Joelinton Most Improved Player of the Season: Longstaff, Willock, Murphy Most Disappointing Player: Fraser, unsure on Gordon, think he needs time. Signing of the Season: Sven Botman Goal of the Season: Almiron vs Fulham, ASM vs Wolves, Wilson vs Forest. Assist of the season: Joe Willock assists Isak with World class outside of the boot chip Newcastle 6 Spurs 1 Isak assists Murphy with insane dribble Everton 1 Newcastle 4 Trippier assists Willock eye of the needle pass Southampton 1 Newcastle 4 Game of the Season: Newcastle 6 Vs Spurs 1 Newcastle 3 vs Man City 3 Moment of the Season: Putting together 8 wins out of 10 after our unfortunate Cup loss, to help us find ourselves in the champions league Manager rating out of 10: 10 Lost only 5 games in 38, secured a Cup final, and Champions league football in one full season in charge. incredible.! Season rating out of 10: 10

Miggy needs to look for others instead of thinking he can pop curlers in everytime. Other than Gordon scoring he's been fairly average, the best of the play has been all down the left with Maxi, Anderson, and Isak all linking up well. Chelsea piss me off, so hopefully we see this through, and finishing 3rd over Man Utd would be great.

Moussa Diaby's assists in his last three seasons have been incredible. Goals haven't been bad either. (20/21 A-10 G-4) (21/22 A-12 G-13) (22/23 A-8 G-9) Hope we're serious about going for this player. He's on quite low wages also.

I'm not a technical geek, but I appreciate that some people are and love data, for me I've always been obsessed with Saint-Maximin and all wingers like him who excite the crowds (Ginola et al) The game earlier in the season vs Man City, and previous seasons under Bruce, ( fair to say ASM was probably managing himself ) he just looked electric, he's the one player any other friends who support other teams rave on about, or at work I always get "that saint-maximin is some player" But of late or after his last screamer vs Wolves, he's just never returned to those levels, statistically you can dig and dig, but visually I'm not seeing the same flamboyance as I put in the last post. The only thing I can put it down to is he looks like he's afraid to run with that freedom like he used to. Hope to see him injury free and back to his best next season. He's 100% got a role to play with us next season. -

This season, and what other are you comparing the measurable metric? I'm his biggest fan, but I see improvements in players everywhere, my post wasn't aimed at his stats, but more about his individual style, visually he hasn't looked like the flamboyant Saint-Maximin, more like a guy under some pressure to fit into a system he perhaps isn't designed to fit in. It's how it appears, but injuries are definitely playing a part, and obviously he's now not guaranteed a regular starters spot like he was under Bruce, must be difficult for a player with his immense technical ability to only make sub appearances now.
