Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan
mighty__mag replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
Are we at this stage yet again when it comes to investing and backing your manager? The old someone is buying the club story. Basically Rafa asked for far too many assurances in his negotiations. Ashley will draw this out until.the first game of the new season and then blame the fake purchase collapse on everything. -
Dont blame him. Pep turned his season upside down, off the back of an excellent previous season
-
The back isn't all black according to Douglas, whether the front is correct i don't know. Wow, could be the worst home one of all time.
-
Has that home kit not been denied?
-
Solskjaer will be taking advice from someone, he's not been back in the game long and they are interested in future prospects, Longstaff, James etc. Wouldn't Surprise me if its Fergie. I still think theres a lot more to this.
-
Celtic's number one target. Ashley better start pleading with Rafa soon.

Because if I had just added the five or six I believe to be best, some dickhead would have asked where so and so was? You have to please all the bellends on here, you know that right. Pedantic Wankerfest, Like. -
I can't wait for VAR in the premier, although it slows things down a bit, I personally believe like others posting above, it will benefit the rest of the league outside the top 6. I also think after the Sterling goal vs Spurs it makes it very important. Spurs deservedly went through, but without VAR they wouldn't have.

I thought long and hard about this one, and although a few stand out Rondon, Ayoze, I have to go with Schär. He's great on the ball while also scoring some vital goals, and a worldie against Burnley. His defensive game is solid and equally his attacking style and confidence to run with the ball is almost Phillipe Albert esque. He's been awesome. 2nd.Rondon 3rd.Ayoze

Wouldn't be as fussed if Ritchie himself hadn't come out and said it's now his "preferred position" to play left wing back. Someone else told me this, but was it actually Ritchie himself saying it, or did it come from the media? I'd like to see where he says it himself if he does.

Hope we stop playing him on the left side,he looked better in more central positions later in that second half yesterday.

that's brilliant -
Fucking joke he's getting such hatred. He's a right mid being asked to play left wingback and he's not very good at it, as soon as he switched to right mid second half and was back with yedlin where he feels comfortable, he could have had an assist before being subbed off, he put in a great cross that Dummett got in the way of both Ayoze and Rondon who were waiting to pounce. I personally don't rate the wingback system, I prefer four at the back, and the last two fixtures when Rafas switched it when it's not working we have looked better in the second halfs when behind. I can't blame Ritchie too much, and I'm sure prior to the pen miss hed scored our last 7 pens. I also believe our new lad doesn't look great played on the left. He's a number 10.

I'm just glad Rafa came on here and read my comments at half time about changing the system. It worked a treat, and ended up a thrilling second half. -

Said it last weekend, we need to ditch this formation now. Ritchie playing LWB is fucking ridiculous. Get a proper left back in, go 4 at the back and start playing Miggy as a 10. Awaiting don't criticise the managers formation type responses. -
Rafa didn't want him, think it was done over his head.
-
Put the kind of formation on I hoped to see at the start when the game was already lost. We need to ditch this wingbacks formation soon enough. Ritchie isn't cut out for it, and I assumed we only used it right up until January and slightly beyond because we were finding cover hard at Left back. And I really want to see Almiron used as a 10 and used more effective. I beleive that's the position we will see the best from him.

Best things tonight. Schar with a screamer. 3.pts 4 home wins. Longstaff continuing to perform. The back 3 dominant. The new signing already settled. Moving further away from the shit. Hayden deserving a mention. And Jake Humphrey. -
