  1. Benzema would have been the full 25m if not more, even if that was remotely true even at that time. So what was Keegan supposed to do, sign nobody else? We knew back then we were in for Modric and Inler and Arda Turan. Some of the only names Keegan allegedly put forward. Nobody ever mentioned, Beckham Ronaldinho and basically the world's best players at that time, such a poor comeback. He is actually making himself sound more amateur and that just backs up KKs argument even more.
  2. I'd be inclined to agree, but minus Ayoze and a fit Lejeune, probably(On Paper). But you never know your best side until players play to the best of their ability. Last season early on Shelvey hadn't quite hit the ground running and everyone wanted him dropped, by January there were still morons claiming he was crap and a bid of 12m from West ham should be accepted if press claims were accurate. It turns out he is one of the most vital players we have, and should no doubt have gone to Russia to represent England. So what do many of us know about our best team?
  3. I'm not totally sure, I think it was touch and go for ages, we were as much in the shit for most of the season than anyone else around us, any of 10 sides were as crap as each other, then between March & April we went on a four game winning streak pulling us right out of the shit and those 12 points were what made the difference as Swansea took a turn for the worse, I felt with them it was like us with McLaren, they messed around with Paul Clement for far to long. But in terms of us last season and this season, it's as you say down to the start being difficult, and injuries and players current form, Kenedy was in superb form when he first signed, Dubravka equally, and also the Lejeune/Lascelles partnership as you said is notable thus far this season. The lack of threat at goal worries me more this season. I just hope Rondon has it in him to get his first double figures in the prem, because under 10 goals in a relegation threatend side is a worry.
  4. Does Big Al follow TMG on twitter? Be nice if he gave them some support or by following them back and getting some of his followers to take a bit of extra notice.
  5. Why does Rafa needing to be sacked prove or help anything? If that's being said just so people will have a bigger reaction and then boycott, you may as well boycott now without the need to sack him to get more onside, boycotting now sends a stronger message and protects him. Do it once and if it goes well, the balls in the fans backyard.
  6. If you really strongly about it, cancelling your ST is definitely the way forward.....BUT it's not an easy thing to do, I know, I've just done it myself. However, if you do this, you still need to get involved in protests against Ashley. Walking away and washing your hands of it, then criticising those who are prepared to get of their arses and do something is not acceptable.....far too many know-it-all's out there who think they've done their piece and everyone else is wrong. If you've got something to say, come to the next Magpie Group meeting and share your expert knowledge with others. Boycotting a live sky game is the way. It's not expert knowledge and it's not arrogance. It's just convincing all to do it, but if it was 1 game it's hardly gonna be a massive sacrifice. Nobody is criticising anyone who does something though, myself personally I'm not one for contradictions, so to attend a protest then go inside and take part in anything Ashley makes me question myself. There has to be a live sky tv game boycott imo. You're right but it won't happen. That boat has sailed a long time ago. 15/20 years ago it would have but not now. Ashley could sack Rafa next week and change the stadium name and strip and bring in wise as manager and nailed on there would be 45,000 there content and apathetic at the Leicester game. Our support has changed so much now and the majority through there lack of action or giving a fuck do deserve him But you are judging that with no factual evidence. There's an even bigger reason to get people's attention now that in the early days wasn't there, and that's social media, every fan has a phone in their pocket, they just need to be convinced not to enter, it only has to be for one game. TMG have a platform to advocate to those who I believe get the message, what they don't get is their addiction nufc, it's like trying to get of heroine. They will likely hate Ashley and support the protests but still go in without blinking.

  8. ?? on that page. But IRGWG and TMG have built a platform now, so they are better suited to convince.
  9. I think a lot was said on twitter about the silence in the ground during the game. Im guessing the MG turned up and hoped the hysteria would continue into the game? But there seemed to be comments of the place being like a morgue.
  10. For fucks sake, I see it now Haydn. That wasn't autocorrect either, I'm blaming my eyes that time Ok, and no worries, I sometimes wonder if my replies come across like I'm some kind of smarmy moaning wanker, wait... ?
  11. The Rangers fans who were on the podcast said that going or not going isn't the be all and end all. I agree that whilst it makes a statement, pressure on his other companies is more lucrative in rattling him than staying away. I agree btw in terms of buying things in the ground, how people can still do that is beyond me. But whilst Rafa is manager it's going to be hard for people to chuck it. No offence to Rangers fans, but their games and equally Blackpool, that league doesn't get the exposure or coverage like the PL does. When has there been a premier league game shown on Sky with nobody attending, at the time Rangers were not even in their top tier. The TMG need to get us all not going in, it's a massive challenge to convince over 50,000 but really you don't need to convince 50,000, one person has to convince themselves. You are responsible for you. But in this day and age everyone loves to be part of something a trend or something bigger, there were tons in the town centre outside SD in the first protest, most for a great cause, others out of sheer noseyness what's going on etc. Sounds bitchy "I did the protest," I took a banner, I wear my magpie group badge" I'm part of something, Just don't fucking go in there at all. Did you go in yesterday Hyden? Jesus, my name is right there when replying, how can you get it that wrong Yeah I did. One of the pathetic Ashley apologist sheep is what I am I suppose, then. Just took part in all 3 home game protests because it's trendy to. Sorry but that's a load of shite. We all have reasons for going or not, we all have different breaking points; hopefully after getting into university this time next year it will be my last season anyway, but I would've chucked it if Rafa left regardless. In addition to that, after what happened with my dad back in January I would like to spend as much time with him as possible, he's been going since the early 70s. If the MG organise a boycott, like all of the previous protests, we'll be taking part in it. Not because it's trendy, because it's a cause I believe in. Sorry Hayden, was the mobile typo. You will get this though, some fans disagreeing with you attending and you having your own reasons for going, I'm just saying some people do get involved for a bit of attention, if you are strong willed you just wouldn't feed Ashley pockets, but that's my opinion, I'm sure loads will disagree, they have their season ticket now so what else are they going to do with it. But before freaking out like I'm slagging you off, (I'm not btw) I wanted to ask you would you be prepared to miss a game? If somebody organised whichever live game will be shown on Sky, for all fans to miss one game, I'm sure whatever an individual's reasons for going or not going, each ticket holder could skip one live game to make a statement to the wankers at the club and the ignorant media. You do what you need to do, my replies are not personal, I just wish all could boycott even for one game.??

  13. Maybe next home game on Sky as many people as possible boycott the kick off and sit after 10 minutes or every willing fan can carry a placard/sheet of paper wit Ashley out as that will get message across It would be a start. But really each fan needs to be brave as an individual and not buckle. The picture whit all lined across holding the we are a city banner, they should block the turnstiles/gate entry points. Try to make people not enter.
  14. Check out @TheMagpieGroup_’s Tweet: I'm with most of the replies to this tweet. Until people boycott the ground and don't turn up for games nowt will change. People feel safer being in a group or being part of something, the real strength will be when each person acts individually and does not enter. This is not a dig at TMG they are doing this to get exposure in numbers, but the problem is it's not getting across to the media, reading the comments in that tweet to me personally the message is clear, don't go to the games, support the TMG protests but then don't go in the ground or the club shop or sharers bar before or after. I bet the average person after their season ticket and replica shirt, still adds another £40 to £50 per match day into Ashleys pocket without realising, just try within yourselfs to stop going to games, an empty or half empty stadium on sky tv will get the media's attention, Rangers and Blackpool fans had the strength to do it, can you? Looking at them pictures is great, but I bet everyone still went in and sat down and spent extra cash in the ground....... Btw, I don't know how to make the tweet bit active
  15. He'll do what he always does, wait until around December when we are ultimately going down. Then do some sort of gamble by chucking 50m at Rafa to stay and get some faces through the door to avoid the drop. Let's face it, it's the only reason Benitez is actually here now, because that fat cock likes a gamble, only thing was he didn't act quick enough to remove McLaren and Benitez couldn't work a miracle with a squad of players who by that time had already given up, and a 20 year old Jamaal Lascelles was the only player concerned. The thing is though Rafa wouldn't fall for it a second time surely? Would he?
  16. Ritchie and Murphy both looking to supply the diagonal and catch out the Arsenal full backs. I'm scratching my head why Rondon isn't in the side, because so far it seems we are looking to attack the flanks both Ritchie and Murphy have put numerous balls into the area, but surprise there's nobody available to convert anything. I think we would have had a goal in that half with an extra forward on the pitch and sacrifice Hayden or Ayoze.
  17. I never really had much to begin with so not that arsed tbh. The squad's not good enough, and if Muto can't get a start when our centre forward is out, he's been a pointless signing. Muto can't even get ahead of Perez, who's a total pussy.
  18. Weird, fucking weird. Can't be arsed anymore. Football politics wankers!
  19. I think its time to stop basing our squad value vs others squad value on how we approach games now. If we know we are the leagues lowest spenders does this mean we continue to play arses to the wall football or let the players show their own value? We could go on like this all season deciding before we have even faced a side they are better than us because they spent more or have players with a reputation or more international caps etc etc. I know it's cliche but Leicester didn't fear anyone when they won the league with the players they had. We all know Ashley is a tight bastard but it's just comprising the players by asking them to go out each week and not have a go in order to prove a point to Ashley that the squad is weak he should spend more etc. Yes he should and yes the squad could be improved, and yes he's a lying cock, but I just wish we would let the lads have a bit of freedom and go and take the game to Arsenal.
  20. he was insane in that 5th season, just battering cunts all over getting on the end of scraps while the other 9 players stood in rows of 4 and watched him Yohan Cabaye orchestrated everything in that season. It was hard even with a wanker like pardew in charge for that group of players to get anything wrong. They all just gelled and made it work. Was that also Coloccini's best season for us?
  21. ?? Honest post. I think pretty much the same, I think it's an age thing though.{kill me on ageism} Millenials love their stats facts and just generally any way to prove an opinion wrong, and equally their social media. Forums are relatively an older form of SM and I'm surprised they are still in existence. Your points though are valid. Thing is nothing ever changes.
  22. Was Muto any good tonight? I missed near enough all the game. Caught the best and worst 6 minutes of injury time,
  23. He's not helping himself playing centre backs at left back with Sterry on the other side. Good luck trying to play football with them bringing the ball out. We've got some fucking horrendous footballers in those positions. Who the fuck else was he supposed to play at full-back? Yedlin and Dummett absolutely cannot be risked, as evidenced by the backup brigade on show tonight (and at Cardiff). Aye, I suppose we need to keep them fresh so we can wheel them out for the hammering against City on Saturday. I think I'd rather have won today tbh. Resting players for a game we are gonna get beat in anyway and for the big relegation battle and we aren't even out of August. No aim other than to exist in the pl and then we get 11 years of wank and knocked out on purpose runt he cups. That's rafas hat trick now oxford and forest twice. Shite Remember the slaughtering Pardew and the rest of the shite used to get? Genuine question, do you think it is best for the club to get Rafa Out or get Ashley Out if you had to choose. Because if you say Ashley you are undermining your own point of view by focusing your ire on Rafa. Getting Ashley out needs to be the utmost priority. We can worry about Rafa if still underperforming under new ownership (in the unlikely event that we even get that far) He's consistent on Rafa, and having a go when we play badly, and on occasions rightly so. But one thing he never ever does,is answer these types of questions. Just like what you asked, and before you others have asked who he would replace Rafa with, you never get an answer.
