They aren't claiming to be journalists breaking stories or an ITK. Wasn't claiming they were. More so in reference to most media atm just guessing and linking anything they can to clubs. The KI thing was as if to say the lot of them talk shit because his signing went completely under all their noses.
-
Didn't have a clue about the Ki signing until it happened though most of them. 360 are deffo young uns

Cant say im over the moon about this one. I was hoping it would be a smokescreen as we throw the media off our targets, a bit like the KSY deal nobody really having a clue...
-
360 is some teenager making up anything nufc related. Any of us could do the same but we are a bit more mature and like not to believe every single nufc related rumour and go public and tweet on any old story. The Chronicle are not far behind, the sad thing is though they actually are adults. Its hard to believe.

I tend to agree but I can't bring myself to be confident. I'd be surprised if any Newcastle fan could based on what we've experienced in the past. And the additional fear that Ashley might now think we can stay up with a Championship squad as long as we have Rafa (which TBH we can). The World Cup will obviously push things back, and the window closes early, so it's going to be squeaky bum time. Rafa will get his way. I beleive one on one meetings between the pair him and Ashley would always result in Rafas favour. He has always maintained he has a very good relationship with Charnley. Fair enough if he does get turned over, he can walk away with pride and knowing hes appreciated. I just cant see Ashley wanting to lose Rafa. We will be fine, we all know right now not to expect any marquee signings or maybe not even breaking our transfer record, but we will definitely strengthen and likely have a stronger first 11 from last seasons. How can we possibly have a stronger 11 when we won't pay above 15m for a player?. 15m gets you a decent Championship player these days. Every club in the Premier League pays beyond that for playing staff No way can you be stronger when you are signing shite Our biggest signing under Ashley was Wijnaldum at 14.5m, you would think that season 80m was spent on a fair few new signings should our transfer record have needed to be broken it would have that season, but instead of spending more on one signing, we got a few through the door. Im not arguing you are wrong about how we spend money or go about our transfers. But you can get better than championship players under 15m. Hirving Lozano cost PSV around 7/8m only a season ago. And on the squad being stronger, it cant really get any worse. If we improve just on Dwight Gayle or Joselu alone, thats an improvement from last season. So far we are likely to lose Merino for 10m and gain KSY for free, its not an immediate improvement, but if the 10m adds to more funds for Rafa to improve elsewhere then im fine with it.

This scaremongering happens in every single window no matter what. Just come back in a month and it will be a total difference in posts and media negativity. Wouldn't waste my time with media gossip. Especially while Benitez is walking around with a smile on his face. Think im only prepared to take speculation more seriously perhaps when Benitez says any of it himself.
-
I think it's more that we refuse to get involved in bidding wars. We only go for players other clubs don't want. True but Ashley also thinks anything over £15m is crazy money for anyone. 15m wouldn't get you Messi's toenail clippings these days. He's a daft fat twat. You would have to consider us possible relegation candidates if no funds or records get spent or broken.

We will need to replace him though, with equal quality because Hayden is not Pl quality Not sure how many games Hayden got last season to justify him not being PL quality, but I do agree Merino should be replaced, Jack Colback was far worse than Hayden and will have miles more PL games to his name. I hear what you are saying though, we need quality, lets hope Rafa starts the negotiating this week.

Im not too bothered about losing Merino. He had a few good games early on then seemed to dwindle off, and on a few occasions his tracking back to do anything considred grafting cost us goals in a few games. He basically had a good start hence why he signed, but fell below Rafas standards, and behind Shelvey and Diame who both work harder when not in possession. Guess he might think he should be selected no matter what? Good luck to him

Didnt Charley Musonda have great spells in Spain with Real Betis ? Unsure how well he did while up at Celtic. He can play right accross the midfield, and im sure he was a 10 or CAM at Betis. Would be a decent shout along with Kenedy and RLC.

I wish we would be brave and take more risks in the market, like when Lozano went to PSV tons of elite clubs had a chance to get in there but they bottled it. PSV gambled and it will pay off. And PSV dont exactly pay huge wages. I know its a bit like what we did with the French market but it improved us for a while and all the fees paid out we gained massive fees back for some. The problem is we are also now stuck with a lot of shit that nobody wants also. ?

The best thing about our transfer activity, is not only are we shite at signing anyone, we cant even sell anyone. Pure shite.
-
Both the Ayews no matter which one you buy, are both stupid cunts, ask Gignac.

He does, dont panic.

Joselu starting is a probability of at least 80/90%

This is a massive problem not only for him but many players. Hardly any managers looked to their youths last season, Manchester United do still continue this method and im guessing but I think they feilded the most or gave the most minutes in the league. Its a problem and its down to rich clubs swallowing up tons of talent and sending them out on loan over and over again. Chelsea one of the worst with over 30 players loaned. Its great if top clubs have players that are beneficial to clubs like us ie Kenedy, but that then gives their asset time on the feild and in our case not our asset Murphy. I think clubs should be forced to field a number of academy players or give a certain amount of minutes to players. Or it will just continue and halt good young prospects potential over time.
-
You would never get the same commitment and work-rate and I may go as far to say passion Matt Ritchie gives down the right from a player like Townsend. Its not a position that needs immediate attention with Ritchie, Murphy and even Atsu being able to play right mid or left mid. Priority areas would be a Striker and a right full back. And competition at left back. Probably just sports journalist boredom

Fans taking the piss out of us is exactly the reason to enjoy their demise. I’ll never forget that day, and it’s the only reason I’m enjoying seeing them suffer. Karma and all that. And sorry, one bloke on a forum doesn’t change my mind. And John Terry. I agree with you mate. Any of the PL clubs that season could have chosen to pic on our club and post pictures of young kids crying and adults. But a majority of Villa fans chose to relish in our misfortune, with no previous history to feel necessary to do so. Retribution is served to those wankers that day. I cant say I care much what happens to them. They will be replaced just like Portsmouth and others that have struggled in the past.

I'm sure that this was a lovely little post, I really am. But I stopped reading after that first line. But quoted regardless.

I just dont think we would be stupid enough to sell. Our highest value player to a rival. We finished almost side by side with Everton. He recently signed a 5 year contract and has only been able to show one full season in the premier league. Another season or so to really establish himself and he will get closer to international call ups and his value will grow and grow. Nobody not even Ashley is dumb enough to think cashing in now is worth while. And the 30m in this over inflated market is a low bid. If Van Dijk is in the 70m bracket Lascelles isnt miles away from similar quality. A realistic bid closer to 60m plus would probably have the hierarchy potentially thinking about it, but 30m is an insult.

He's clearly a talented player. Have you been to the Gareth Southgate school of discipline? 12 yellows and 1 red in his career. Sorry I wasn't referring just on the bookings. He's been a bit of a tosspot off the field.

Naa thats his brother Cain.
