  1. I'm not bothered about other teams challenging us, so Brighton all the way for me. This.
  2. For all of those who cannot buy tickets to Hull/Forest/Leeds - these are the games you have to attend to build your points and get there. A soggy and cold Wednesday night in the interesting town of Wigan
  3. Hull fans are staying away from this in protest at the owner, Hull refused to give us a bigger allocation as they were concerned we may outnumber the home support/make it more of a home game for us. They are expecting about 15k, nearly 10k under capacity.
  4. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38002599 This competition just gets worse and worse
  5. Fuck the poppies! I didn't see one member of the armed forces clapping the other day. Do they not know how remembrance should be done? Give footballers soldiers wages!
  6. Jesus wept, this lad is made out of bloody Quavers. He's shown some real glimpses of quality, but we cant keep this lad on the books if he cant make it onto a football pitch. Feel for him but like De Jong, it gets pretty frustrating after the 70th injury.
  7. Great news, lets hope he isn't guilty and no ban is forthcoming.
  8. Would imagine getting home and seeing his mrs naked made up for all of the hurt like.
  9. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jefferson_Louis They're not all transfers though, majority of them he has been signed after being released. I believe that mosstef was referring to actual transfers between clubs with a fee involved, may be wrong though.
  10. A team in the Championship who are even suggesting that they wouldn't want Sturridge
  11. I'm sick of clapping and tributes etc as well but it is the anniversary of his death next weekend. Meh, soon we'll be dedicating each minute of the 90 to someone. God knows I loved Gary Speed, one of the best players in recent years to grace our team. Absolute tragic circumstances and situation however we paid tribute to him afterwards and that should be that imo. How long do you keep this kind of thing going for? Agree with this, nearly every game these days has some random applause for someone or something.
  12. Aye, I think that now includes half season tickets. How many can they actually sell? By all accounts they have to keep an allocation back for away fans and an allocation for match day tickets as well. 3,200 for away supporters and approximately 3,000 for on the day sales would put a cap about 46k. That's a rough figure mind.
  13. NUFC have announced today that we have 37,000 ST holders.
  14. Fuck sake, not even January and the ridiculous stories are already popping up. Gerrard ffs What next Pepe Reina? Whats Riise up to these days?
  15. I don't think anyone, well the majority anyway, consider England to be other than absolute average on the world stage of football these days, even the media.
  16. Aye but they're some way behind Germany and Spain still. Would put Belgium somewhere alongside France, aye. All 4 of those sides are far stronger than us. Argentina too and probably Brazil by default. Our squad is good and unlike most nations we're not massively short in any 1 area we've got good depth too, comparatively. Do you have 6 fingers Hans?
  17. The biggest problem is the England squad is nowhere near as good as the media/pundits/majority of England think. A vast majority of the England squad would struggle to get a game in the top teams around Europe. No matter who takes over will ultimately fail as expectation far outweighs reality. No foreign manager with any sort of ambition will take it because they know how limited the squad is, that leaves the same cycle of shit and boring English managers or washed up foreign managers looking for a nice payday that get touted nearly every time the post is vacant.
  18. If that is true then this club really is trying to do things right
  19. There is simply no excuse to openly tout your player to other clubs. No matter what level you, the player or the other club plays at. You should strive to grow and achieve things with your best players rather than being happy to be a stepping stone.
  20. So unless you manage a 'top club' then your entire managerial career is a failure? What absolute shit. Koeman could achieve (and already has achieved) a lot in his managerial career. If he won the league or got CL football consistently with Everton, I doubt his career would be seen as a failure. In relation to Lukaku, rather than the shit he has sprouted, why not come out and say; 'Romelu would like CL football, we cannot currently offer him that but we've asked him to stay with us for 1 or 2 seasons to try to achieve it'. Rather than openly touting his player to other teams.
