More than happy to take one permanently or on loan with an option to buy. No daft buy-back clause though, fuck that. Don't see the point in loans at this level unless you can actually buy the player or is an emergency as a stopgap.

Love how when Lascelles asked Aarons if he was going to start (v Bohemians) he went to say "why don't we ask the capt..."

Newcastle United transfer rumours in the press
Figures 1-0 Football replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
I'd assume that if we no longer have an interest, we've moved onto someone else - wonder who that could be? Without being funny; we're big enough and have the spending power to force the move if we wanted to. -

Alex Pritchard will be a Brighton player within the next 48 hours, according to Sky sources, with a fee worth up to £8m having been agreed with Spurs and only a few more formalities needing to be completed. However, Anthony Knockaert will not be leaving Brighton in this transfer window, according to Sky sources. The two deals are not linked in any way and Newcastle no longer retain an interest in the player. -
Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

As we are now only three (3!) days away from the new season, I thought it'd be a good time to start this. As a way of helping (and an excuse not to help the mrs with the dinner), I've compiled the below list of our potential competition. If I've missed anyone, let me know and I'll add them to it. Loans are in italics. Personally, I think we had a stronger starting squad than anyone else and we've done the best business out of all of them. It'd take a very strange sequence of events for us to not go up with Rafa and this squad. 9. -
Fulham - Newcastle United - 5/8/16 @ 7.45 - Live on Sky

Fulham without McCormack would be good. Fulham are pap, sold their best player to Celtic and now their second best player wants to jump ship to Norwich/Villa. They've made very little progress in the transfer market. They'll be battling around the bottom of the league; if we're seriously going to get promoted we should be beating sides like this. -
They're embarrassing like That article is literally terrible, how embarrassing. Such an irrelevant club, would quite like them to stay down purely because of how tasteless they are.

He looks like a cross between Cisse and Anita Cisse's tiny peahead and Anita's huge features.

The Chronicle may have got it right by saying we were after four more. Clark, Diame, Knockaert(?) & one other. In relation to Knockaert, Brighton are close to signing Pritchard from Spurs - could that be as a replacement for Knockaert? -
He's already turned it down, apparently.
-
If this guy is so shit, why is there a lot of interest in him? As always, I'll give anyone a clean slate from when they walk through the door and see what they do in an NUFC shirt before making judgement.
-
Probably one of our best signings of the summer if it comes off. Sissoko's replacement at an excellent fee, Diame is a good player and wouldn't be out of place in the Premier League nevermind the Championship.
-
Anyone would think we are signing this bloke to be the next captain The absolute massive overreactions. He'll be 4th choice CB, to provide cover across a hectic season. We've had fuck all depth for years and relied on players slotting in positions they are crap at. Rafa is building not only a good 11 but a strong team, we're doing great business so far. A few years ago, Mike Williamson was a regular starter for us in the Premier League.

Strange that one is, do we really need another CB when we have other areas that really need strengthening. Would be okay with him coming in as back-up. -
This 'your city is worse than mine' is very RTG.

Love Anita I do, especially because his body is the shape of a shoehorn. Think he'll be great next season, looks very competent under Rafa.

A lad that clearly doesn't want to be here (if various reports are believed), I'm sure we could find someone of equal quality that does. Not arsed if he leaves, I'll just be disappointed as I had high hopes for him.

Bremen nearly got relegated last year, didn't they?

Fuck off, I don't believe Gouffran did that like.

Gouffran & Anita scoring on the same day, is it a full moon?
