  1. The awkward moment when Man Utd claim Pedro didn't choose Chelsea over them because they didn't have a bid accepted... Then Pedro then has an interview with Sky Sports and tells them he did have a choice.
  2. You may as well just buy a plain black and white shirt and wear that to games to be fair.
  3. De Gea wont give a toss to be fair, he'll sit on his contract and then leave for free next year. It's Man Utd who have lost out, as they now have no transfer money and no Navas (who Real could sell to them next summer). We haven't lost out. We really don't need the money. De Gea needs to play and play well for the Euros. We've basically kept a world class GK for another year (giving us a year to find a new keeper). Madrid haven't got their man, and the little chance they had of winning La Liga is gone. De Gea has done nothing wrong, and will be treated as such. It's actually refreshing to see a player who wants to leave remain professional about the situation. De Gea has refused to play all season? How is that professional? John Stones has continued to turn up for Everton and put in good performances. And well, of course Man Utd have lost out - they've lost out on Navas as well as keeping a player for a year who couldn't give a toss about them and is already more interested in Real. What will happen when Real and Man Utd meet in the Champions League? As it will be fate for that to happen - De Gea will throw his arms around and not play again? He hasn't refused to play at all. LVG dropped him. Due to him not "being in the right mind frame" to play. Being professional would be the opposite, ready to play.

  6. Why not do the deal in the three months prior to deadline day? No sympathy at all for any of them.
  7. Manchester United have released a statement regarding the failed transfer of David de Gea to Real Madrid yesterday evening... •Man Utd did not seek contact from Real for the sale of David. David is a key member of our squad and the club’s preference was not to sell. No offer was received until yesterday. •At lunchtime yesterday, Real Madrid made their first offer to buy David. A deal was agreed between the clubs, which included Navas being transferred to Old Trafford. The deals were dependent on each other. •In the last several hours of the process, with Navas at the Real Madrid training ground, Real Madrid were controlling the documentation processes of David, Navas and Real Madrid. Manchester United was in control only of the documentation of Manchester United. •Manchester United sent transfer documents for both players to Real Madrid at 2042 BST. David’s documentation was returned by Real Madrid to Manchester United without the signatory page at 2232 BST. •At 22:40 BST, minutes before the deadline, major changes to the documentation came through to Manchester United which immediately put the deals at risk. •Only at 2255 BST were the documents that are needed to cancel David’s contract received by Manchester United from Real Madrid. •At 2258 BST, the transfer agreement was sent back by Manchester United, uploaded onto TMS and accepted – all before the deadline. It is our [Manchester United's] understanding that the deals couldn’t happen because: •Real Madrid didn’t upload David’s documents onto TMS in time (Manchester United did) •Real Madrid didn’t upload David’s documents to the Spanish league in time, per reports it seems some 28 minutes after the deadline The fact that Manchester United filed the papers on time was acknowledged by the Football Association, who offered to support that claim in any discussions with FIFA. The Club offered this assistance, as well as its own timestamped documents to Real Madrid but they have chosen not to go down this route. Manchester United acts appropriately and efficiently in its transfer dealings. The club is delighted that its fan-favourite double Player of the Year, David de Gea, remains a Manchester United player.
  8. Leicester have completed the loan signing of Nathan Dyer from Swansea. The 27-year-old winger has made more than 130 Premier League appearances for the Swans but will spend the 2015/16 campaign at the King Power.
  9. Or if he doesn't score. I still think Kane had a good season last season, but way above how talented he actually is and he'll struggle.
  10. Quite possibly. I just think Man Utd were talking shit either way, it's not like they couldn't afford to pay the full fee up front after spunking the cash on Martial.
  11. Seriously? "We pay £1 now and rest of the money in 2025." I didn't mean that ridiculously - also thought there was a limit on how long you can 'pay off' a player too (2/3 seasons?). Either way, if Man Utd offered what they said they offered - Barca could not turn it down as they offered a sensible payment plan at the amount of the release clause.
  12. I thought a release clause was a release clause - and no matter how/when it was paid, as long as it was met then Barca could not turn it down?
  13. Yeah it makes absolutely no sense. Why not spunk all that cash on a proven goalscorer like Cavani or Lacazette? It has all the qualities of a panic-buy.
  14. Their fans are so small-time... Borini? And we're jealous? We have ample players who can play in his position who are arguably miles better. They're a bit like Fulham in London - nobody gives a toss about them apart from themselves.
  15. Delighted for him, will certainly be taking more of an interest in Depor now to see how he gets on.
  16. He was very good for Rangers wasn't he? Sorry it was Rotherham I was thinking of where he was poor, he did quite well at Rangers (which to be fair, is probably the league equivalent of our League 2)
  17. The red was harsh, three of the yellows were justified - other three were harsh. The worst part of his performance was the inconsistencies between our 'fouls'/yellow cards and Arsenal's. Sanchez asking for yellow cards all game (and getting them) but Gini getting booked the second he did it. The penalty was wrong also, but I can sort of see how he missed it as in full motion it looked like nothing happened - only when it's slowed down 10 times you clearly see Thauvin stand on the back of his heel. I think as others have said, Marriner thought he was spot on with his early decision and took the crowds/players reaction as a driving force to continue as he was. Overall he had a shocking game, that cannot be ignored or argued with. He certainly didn't get nearly everything spot on.
  18. Such a bizarre career... Seemingly never does anything and never takes the opportunities when he is (briefly) given them but is still highly regarded and kept on at the club. He hardly set the Scottish Championship alive with Rangers did he? And now he's at Wigan in League One... Yet we still want to keep him.
  19. The loan window for Football League clubs is still open for a few more weeks, so can loan anywhere technically apart from to another Prem side.
  20. The best transfer window we've had in a very long time - but that doesn't say much based on the others. If we had one or two in January and continue to hold onto the core of our team (allow the likes of Gouf/Willo etc to leave) then I'll be very satisfied this season. Although, this is Newcastle so we'll probably sell Perez, Krul, Mbemba and Sissoko for a combined £10 and a bag of wotsits and replace them with a 12-year old from France who "looks promising".
  21. So now someone will sign him on 1st January on a pre-contract agreement and get him for free next year. Well done QPR, I'm sure the £2m more that you asked for from Leicester is worth losing him for nowt.
  22. It is sad that Berahino can stamp his feet and refuse to play like he has done, he signed a contract with WBA and should honour it. I don't turn up at work and say "I'm not working today because I want a transfer to a new position". If he refuses to play he should have his wages stopped, he is paid to play football after all. Or even have his wages reduced if he rots in the reserves. Players like him piss me right off.
  23. Definitely taking the piss, one minute past the deadline.
  24. "The news is the documentation was not done on time. David de Gea was at his girlfriend’s house waiting, Keylor Navas was waiting, everything was signed and sent to Manchester but the stories coming out of the Spanish media are that Manchester United sent the paperwork back at 12.01pm Spanish time, so past the deadline.
  25. Hope that man in your avatar gets shifted. I'm on standby in case he needs a lift anywhere.
