NUFC kits & merchandise - third kit images leaked pg.874
Figures 1-0 Football replied to a topic in Football
Must admit I was slightly disappointed with "The Magpie Brand" effort. I've purchased a retro shirt which I'll wear this season - the official kits are probably the best they've been under Ashley mind. Wonga needs to go, but I dread to think what Ashley would replace it with. In fact, I think we all probably know. -
We finished 15th last season with Pardew for one half and the biggest f***ing idiot in PL history for the other, enduring one of the worst runs I've ever seen from a PL team. We've since appointed an actual football manager (regardless of what you think of him, he is one, which can't be said for Carver), signed 3 players who will improve us, gained Aarons/De Jong from injury (who will also improve us) plus whatever else we get from now on. I'd personally be stunned if we didn't do better than last season. Completely agree. People seem to forget/ignore that last season we were without Papiss for a majority of it and barely saw De Jong/Aarons. We were effectively managerless for 50% of the season. The three signings we have made seem good and in areas that we needed strengthening. Two or three more signings in key positions before the end of the window and we could have a decent season ahead of us. I have a feeling we'll do well in one of the cups if the club are serious on their stance.

It's not just his goal rate though, every time I have watched him (bar two or three games) he has been absolutely dreadful and looks way out of his depth. He'd be a decent player for someone like Huddersfield or Brighton.

Shearer scored 23 goals in 120 appearances for Southampton. Prolific. Wickham has played a lot out wide in a s**** team. £9m in todays marked is nothing. I think that Wickham can be very good if they use him as a striker, not as a wide player in 4-3-3. Wickham between Zaha and Bolasie isn't bad. Aye he did, he then went on to score 112 in 138 for Blackburn. Wickham has never made it wherever he has been, he was touted as a "next Rooney" when he was 17 with Ipswich and is only playing Premier League football now because of that. Wickham is a Championship striker, at best. But who knows, maybe Wickham will be a great goal scorer for CP. Agreed, Riviere could also score 40 goals for us next season too mind. Only time will tell...

For once it appears we have done something well. Glad that he'll play, gives him a chance to start against Southampton and gives Williamson a chance to not.

In addition, Wickham has scored 29 career club goals across 4 teams and five years (in 2014 was loaned to Leeds, in the Championship). In approximately 160 appearances. Prolific.

swear to god this f***ing forum and it's determination to hang onto premier league pricing structures from the mid-late '90's is doing my f***ing head in they've paid 6m for a guy in his early 20's who has been playing top flight football (sort of) since he was about 18 as someone else said the initial fee is the same as one riviere give or take, i know which one i find more ridiculous tbh What is wrong with laughing at someone paying £9m for a striker who has played for average/below average sides, never really made an impression apart from a run of about 4 games two years ago and has an awful goal scoring record? Nobody is discussing other fees, there are a lot of daft fees running around - and this is definitely one of them. With players like Javier Hernandez & Edin Dzeko available for a loan/smaller fee than Wickham you cannot not laugh at the fee Palace have paid for Wickham. There are so many better options available at better prices/deals. In comparison, they paid £10m for Cabaye - arguably a good price for a good player.

£9f***ingm

There is no way he is 20

When has it ever taken over two weeks for a player to sign for a club due to visas and approvals? We lodged the initial papers with the FA last Wednesday and we wont have him until next midweek! What would happen if this was a transfer deadline day signing?

Why? The pitch looks fairly decent if anything -

We're playing York City away in a pre-season friendly... To be quite honest I'm glad half of the team aren't anywhere near there. If we played our strongest 11 everyone would moan when we pick up six injuries. Surprised Kemen isn't in from the start. Mitrovic will be hoyed off as soon as possible, only playing as he's had little pre-season time. -
He's another one of our "buy them young, never give them a chance and then ship them out" players. Would like to see him loaned out this season to a team where he will be a guaranteed starter and see how he performs.

A dutch website is selling it for 8 euro plus postage... Not sure if it is still for sale as the website looks quite old and I don't speak very good Dutch. -
I'd imagine the card will be invalid and wont get you access to the stadium. The payment system must be automated and if a payment is late it'll automatically block the card from use. So in effect, you have a seat (or seats) that nobody can use all season and will not be paid for. They'll notice eventually, maybe two months down the line.

ITV are cheeky f***ers asking for £400.00+ for something which was on TV for free of charge. I'd definitely pay £5-£10 for a copy of it on DVD, would be amazed if someone didn't have a copy of it/is already selling it. Would NUFC not have it? Bet they'd sell it to members. -
It's a good job they let us sign both Mitrovic and Wijnaldum or we really would be in a mess. It's so useful that Sunderland are above both of those players and they're happy for them to come and play for us!

Still be linked with Leeds... Must admit, I hate Leeds - so it'd be a win-win situation if he went there. He's a Championship defender who is being hung out to dry by us, doesn't help that our other CB options are also poor which makes him look even worse. Shouldn't be at our club, contract ends next year - mutually terminate his contract so he can move on now for free or send him somewhere on loan for a season so his contract runs out.
-
If we sell Cisse, I'd take Austin in a heartbeat with the money from Cisse sale. I'd rather spend £15m on a new winger or CB. Can see Austin being sold on transfer deadline day as someone (ie, Liverpool) gets desperate and offers daft money for him.

We suck so much I'd imagine we're not interested because his wage demands would probably be quite big. Bayern and Inter would have had him on a decent wedge. Either way, no reason why we shouldn't sign him.
