  1. Would be interested to see what data they are using to calculate that. But that’s not the point I was and still am making. The error rate of the referee still fucking up and changing the decision incorrectly is 16%, which is ridiculous and adds to the point I made a few weeks ago where the referee on the pitch is influenced by the VAR referee as soon as they tell them to check a decision. It's not, though. The error rate goes down to 0.98% over 6.05% - even though there still is an error percentage in the decisions they make using VAR. The numbers they'll have used will be the decisions where VAR has been used vs decisions where VAR has not been used, clearly. I'm not a fan at all of VAR in the form it is currently being used, but I'll still not argue against it clearly being more correct than refs usually are. It's just used wrong and slows down games unnecessarily. A random stat on Reddit could be based on the square root of fuck all like It's a fucking hyperlink, man. https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Serie-A/23-04-2018/var-cartellini-simulazioni-club-serie-a-lezione-rizzoli-260774711797.shtml Well I cant read Italian, so that doesn’t count. The error data seems to relate to ‘before VAR’ and doesn’t state if they are microscoping every tackle, foul, offside, throw-in, corner etc. as opposed to specific match decisions with VAR. English data stated referees have an error rate of 2%, it’s all judgemental and very difficult to measure. What they can measure though, is that mistakes are still made and that’s inexcusable for me if they have VAR.
  2. They've always taken back from me in those situations. I’ll wait and see what happens before I attempt a withdrawal then. Aye, it’ll be gone by the morning and you’ll have an email pointing you to the T&Cs. Best thing to do would be to stake the £250 on a bet now, if it wins you’ll keep the profit when they take the money back off you. If it loses, you’ll have a minus balance on your account and then they’ll write it off.

A random stat on Reddit could be based on the square root of fuck all like As I said, if someone presents me with some random numbers, I’d like to see the actual data behind them. The difference between those %s could be based on 1000 decisions or 10 decisions, massively altering the impact. Stats on their own are worthless at times, without being put into context. I could tell you that Mitrovic has been our most successful striker this season with some stats and %’s, which doesn’t actually tell you the true story. Wrongfully changing 17 out of 105 decisions is shameful and further evidence that VAR should fuck off, imo. The only way I would ever accept it is if decisions were instant and there was a near enough 100% success rate in making a decision with it. Why slow the game down at all if there still remains a relatively high error rate with decisions made.
  4. What the fuck How was that not picked up on the night/why didn’t Cahill make anything from it? Unless it’s not as it seems from those images, but it looks like he’s tried to take his head off

  6. Am I missing something simple here? It states that 105 decisions were changed on the basis of a VAR review, 17 of them were wrongfully changed. Therefore, when a decision is changed by VAR, it has a 16% chance of being wrongfully changed? The rest of the stats are pointless really, the increase in penalties and decrease in fouls could be coincidental and not necessarily an impact of VAR. You’d have to measure those over a good few seasons to get any decent data.
  7. 105 decisions changed and 17 of them were wrongfully changed? Even after watching it over and over again? So 16% of VAR decisions are wrong? No? Those that are changed, aye?
  8. 105 decisions changed and 17 of them were wrongfully changed? Even after watching it over and over again? So 16% of VAR decisions are wrong? Aye, it’s been a great success then.
  9. Muted celebrations. For example, the Cardiff player today goes and puts them 1-0 up in a game which would pretty much put them in the PL and he walks off and stands still. Fuck off, run over to the fans and go fucking mental man.
  10. Very misleading headline like You could be jailed for a variety of offences, but it doesn’t mean it’s ever going to happen. For example, ABH carries a maximum of 5 years inprisonment, but you aint going to get 5 years (or jailed at all) if you punch someone once leaving them with a broken nose. His offence is very minor, a first offence (I believe?), absolutely no chance of him being jailed at all
  11. That was only 80% of the club, fwiw. And Liverpool paying a ridiculous overinflated sum doesn’t make a difference to a clubs valuation. Liverpool could come in and buy Gayle for £100m in the summer for all we know.
  12. Nah, never in a million years. Pardew wouldn’t risk coming up against animosity and Ashley wouldn’t risk his £££. Ashley will do the bare minimum to keep hold of Rafa, imo.
  13. Plus we only got £6m for Sissoko.
  14. We paid for big Dazza Murphy under Ashley. A nominal fee but not far off what Dubravka will command. We’ll buy Dubravka, I hope little doubt on that - Slimani I doubt though.
  15. So the only PPG that sees them in the relegation zone* is Pardew’s *they’d be level with Swansea and it’d be down to GD with Pulis’, but still a lot safer than they are now.
  16. We can only be relegated on GD now. It’d also take a really bizarre set of results where Southampton win their 4 games and Swansea win 3 out of their 4 (only losing v Southampton).
  17. There’s an interview with their chief exec Martin Bain on BBC Newcastle at 17:30, should be very interesting.
  18. Would it not be better for any potential investors to allow the mackems to go bust before they buy them? That way they’d effectively pick up an empty shell of a club with no debt attached? Cant imagine picking up a L1 side with £120m+ worth of debt and rising is going to be attractive for anyone.
  19. Just burst out laughing. He was the only interested party too apparently. Lerl.
  20. Aye, there isn’t much worse than a Liverpool fan when they’re doing well.
  21. WBA are a pretty inoffensive club like - there are plenty of other clubs that I’d prefer to crash and burn before them. As others have rightly said and has been ignored in the media circles, interesting that their new chap has managed to get such good results and performances out of a team that was apparently a lost cause. Even where Pardew came in to a side outside of the relegation zone, he manages to get them bottom of the league and with little/no hope of survival and apparently none of it is his fault, class.
  22. Really like these updates and information from Fedyan Useful reading.
  23. We’re worth whatever Ashley wants us to be like. He owns us and can therefore set whatever price he likes. Doesn’t matter if people agree or disagree with his valuation, it is what it is.
  24. Was infuriating that he didn’t get any service all game and the second we take him off we start putting 3 or 4 delicious balls into the box. The last 10 minutes in particular were frustrating, we had nobody in the box anywhere near the ball when it was going in.
