World cup winning striker? Certainly more than Mitrovic.

I thought they had settled on Larry as his name Larry would be a great choice, not least as it sounds like Lawrie and we all know where he took them (#Gateshead legend).

Apparently many would otherwise struggle to generate sufficient lubrication.

Cloob transfer record broken?

Madness. The rules must have been published before the tournament, but couldn't help thinking who sponsors Arsenal?

Fuck me, it seems like a looong Summer.

Jimmy says 'Hi' (chucked SBR in there for the hell of it). http://i1.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article7043348.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/Jimmy-Hill-right-and-Bobby-Robson.jpg

Shameful at the palladium of shite, and surrounding sewers, yesterday. Made the mistake of watching some of the videos. Ears are still ringing with screeching macnamara stupidity.

Lovely to watch and so nice to see KK so positive and happy. Followed it with "newcastle united - season 1993/94 - best goals, games and memorable moments!" which was such a great season.

Is Aarons on the left now? Who is playing right mid? -
Ordered one of these and arrived with sponsor. Also, if anybody was considering ordering a larger size in this black it, I wouldn't bother. I'm normally an XL, but went XXL and well it is roomy! Still keeping the gold smeared beauty though!

Thanks for the prompt . Seems a lovely lad and beneath the niceness, sensed steely glint of determination in his eyes. Easy to over interpret things said/not said but seems quite confident he'd be a starter.

There's an old Spanish saying: man with big brows shoots his bolt easily. Which kinda makes senses now

Our very own proud Basque! Ongi atori Mikel. Ondo pasa! urto askotarako. That lass could be his sister (let's all get an Andy Capp-esque beret in his honour! Another magic hat song?? http://www.everyculture.com/multi/images/gema_01_img0031.jpg

If you look really closely, you can see Big Les legging it & tumbling over a hedge in the background.

"Benitez has recruited him to start games and he’s likely to be part of a double pivot midfield – one of two defensive-minded midfielders who can break up play, set up attacks and help Newcastle to dominate possession. It’s also good news for Jonjo Shelvey, who will be the creative force for Newcastle next season: the stage he craved when he left Swansea." Great article from The Chronic, him and Hayden--seems a very young central pairing--with Shelvey on point. Not bad, but surely there's an older head coming in?

i've wondered about this one from the off, us paying £15m or whatever from our budget on a 28 (i think) year old CM that hasn't really done a lot anywhere as far as i can tell would make more sense for us to use that case for mccarthy and try to negotiate paying the rest next summer or something Does the same not apply to McCarthy though? Think we're just facing these kinds of exorbitant fees for top tier internationals. Irrespective of where they are in the pecking order of that group. Whether we'll pay or not is another question.

Fucking charming.

Fairly sure I've read some people concerned that he's s*** because he couldn't get into the Dortmund team and wondering why he hadn't had many appearances for Dortmund in the league (and starting ones too) You might mean this? Not a criticism as such, if he's Rafa's choice that's good enough for me. Just, well, every player is a risk but having not played at the top level anywhere, he is more of a risk/doesn't get me that excited. That said, Aarons (could similarly say never really played at top level) does get me excited; because I have seen enough to believe he could be top class.

Page 1 this is the Genesis of it all ... (And yes, pre-Latin origins of Genesis is Greek)
