  1. yes scaredstiffitis of getting hurt For his sake and ours, let's hope it's not terminal outofdepthitis.
  2. I think I prefer the bloke who's the second from the left in the top-corner (between the two people wearing caps). He has the same facial expression in both. Not sure how long it was between pictures, but either his son has grown-up a bit or he has two who haven't fallen far from the tree; at least in the ears department! [Oh! It's four years. Former].
  3. Yep. A couple of draws, or a loss and a win, and there would be a lot more positivity. Even though we're still evidently short. Really unlucky to be without three first choice defenders too.
  4. IMO a number 10 should be the little guy running in behind the number 9. Then again, I'm not up to date with this continental "keeping the ball" carry on. Far better lumping it up front and hoping for the best. Tally ho! Fox in the box?
  5. Haven't heard anything. Also haven't heard any mention of Kachunga's Kung-fu kick to the side of Mbemba's head which drew blood early in the first half.
  6. you couldn't make it up, could you? Well, if you did it would be a worthy plot line in the soap opera of NUFC.
  7. Worrying, putting your head into future threatening 'what ifs', giving a regular stir to keep a pot of anger-fuelled injustice bubbling over, continuing to wage vendettas and generally be paranoid about other people's intentions, whilst not making life pointless does somewhat take the shine off living. Guess I am saying (and this is a general observation not specifically to do with you SG) It's not just supporting NUFC, like everything " it ain't what you do, it's way that you do it."
  8. "Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 Burnley" Bugger! Wish I had swapped these two around. (s****! Meant to quote not modify ) Here's a pic of the original. Really sorry.
  9. Came in and did a decent job. Delighted we've still got him in the squad.

    Isaac Hayden

You've got to look at the pairing in the middle. To me, Hayden looked stretched at times because he was covering too much potential threat, sometimes due to Merino's position. He did a decent job yesterday/out in a good shift when we didn't have the ball (which was most of the time...).

    Isaac Hayden

Do you think Hayden had a worse game yesterday than Ritchie, Atsu, Gayle, Perez?
  12. Hope so. I'm beginning to put a ridiculous amount of hope into the two young wingers having some sort of stellar season. Would be good for Joselu to have more game time too. Think we'll see Diame in centre mid though ( ) which would scupper any real learning or getting to know each another's game.
  13. Despite all the focus on Shelvey and the two injuries, looked like men against boys for large parts against Spurs. Looked a small side and short of ideas yesterday. Still a 7. We still lack grit and calmness in the middle and quality going forward. With the benefit of hindsight, I would rather have seen Murphy and Aarons than Ritchie and Atsu, yesterday. At least they would have brought some directness and pace.
  14. Did a Real Madrid fan kneecap you when you moved to Barca? If there was a pig's head chucked at him, it was definitely more likely to be after the first transfer than the last.
  15. 1% for me... On the upside I've played for Liverpool and Barca, and I'm a Ledge in Zagreb!
  16. He is surely going to supremely motivated to show his worth as well; probably feels angry/mistreated for ill considered 'commentary' on social media.
  17. Like your use of the spurs Dele Alli line. But I am delighted to claim Mr Shelvey as ours. Irrespective of the occasional brain fart.
  18. I said the same. Delighted to be wrong.
  19. http://a.rgbimg.com/cache1qTniq/users/a/al/al71/300/n7L9FUI.jpg Seek medical assistance immediately
  20. Well, I was just making a joke but are you suggesting that makes it ok?
  21. Kin hell! Sigmund Fraud... Wheeling him out is equivalent in footy terms to considering how the laces in the leather balls influence spin in free kicks. Freud's ideas are alive and well in the 21st century, and form the basis of a living, breathing, and evolving intellectual tradition, spanning psychoanalysis and various forms of psychodynamic psychotherapy. Your resistance to this truth suggests that you could benefit from some time on the couch Yep, like shite. That's the way you Fraudians roll. Theory can't be bollocks, so if you can't see the truth of it must be something needs theraping. Bet you were right at home in the Ashley-Pardew zone, similar mind-viruses.
  22. Russia has 11 time zones. The host cities are in 4 of them: Kalingrad, Moscow, Samara and Yektarinburg. It's twelve if you include the homophobic 1950s twilight zone.
  23. I'd be well impressed if you're talking Brian Kilcline (or similar) rather than actual holi-bobs.
