  1. How's the dreamies did you say?
  2. Injury in the Fulham game is probably the worst I've ever seen involving no contact.
  3. Onana is like the real life version of when Mike used to play keeper in pro clubs

I just think that's the main reason why people like Michael Cox won't be hired by sky etc for punditry too. Nowt to do with gender. The average viewer doesn't care that much about the content rather who it's coming from. Keane is a terrible pundit, offers nowt in terms of analysis but him saying he wants to chin a Man United player or going on massive rant will be lapped up.

I think lot of people just like a familiar face or voice, someone they have a reference point to from the sport. Unless you follow women's football you probably have no idea who you're even watching/listening to for the most part. I think that's a bit different from valuing mens opinions more than women's.
  6. Been quite unlucky in that he's been rotated in for all the hard games and sat on the bench against easier opposition. Think there's been quite a few positive signs though and did well yesterday. Think he's just lacking a bit fitness and confidence, he doesn't have that bite to his game he did at Milan. Similar to when Gordon came here, in a couple of months we'll see the best from him.
  7. That was absolutely incredible. Had to wipe away a few tears just stood there as the champions league music played out. Looked at my dad and he was doing exactly the same thing. Couldn't even imagine what was about to follow. Don't think you could have written it any better, it was just fucking perfect. Town is still absolutely bouncing. One mate am out with and his brother are Charlton fans and even they're buzzing.
  8. Don't even think they can sack Kojak at this point as they've backed him so much with his transfers and any decent manager would want to come in and rip half that squad up.
  9. Don't like the idea people are being told what and how much they should be allowed to post. Unless someone is breaking the rules it should be fair game.
  10. I dunno, you're pretty trim, mate.
  11. Really like it. The two behind Boniface dropping a bit deeper to pick up the ball whilst the wingbacks push up so high seems really difficult to deal with. Clearly a well coached system.
  12. Alonso has these playing really well. Surprised by how high Frimpong is playing for them, is he just and out and out winger these days rather than a fullback? Quite interesting that right side with him and Hoffman.

To me it seems he's just became a meme/figure of ridicule rather than outright abuse? I think when you reach the stage he has where opposition fans cheer when they hear your name read out on the lineup or you are subbed on etc it's probably way more hurtful and humiliating than anything else. Even the way he lost the captaincy at Man United where McTominay was made captain in a friendly match ahead of him recently or they kept him out of the squad to have an extra sub keeper on the bench is really embarrassing for him. Ten Hag and Man United couldn't make it any clearer they wanted him gone and yet he's chose to sit on the bench there rather than playing every week for West Ham in a side that actually suits his game. I think that's why a lot of people will struggle to have too much sympathy for him. His mam releasing a statement isn't going to help things at all either mind, not sure what she's thinking there Blaming pundits and the media for abuse too? I can't remember any examples of that at all, just honest criticism of generally poor performances and a load of high profile errors.

International football for the most part is fairly boring. The successful sides usually aren't playing great attacking football and blowing everyone away. It's kind of all about trying to create a system that gives you a solid platform that protects the weak areas of the side and hopefully allows your good attacking players to win you the game. Our central defense is obviously what we consider our weakness to be so generally setup with two holding players to try and minimise how much they get exposed. You get the squad for a week at time every few months, it's hard to implement anything too crazy with 11 players that don't play together normally. The Spain side that dominated had the advantage that most of them were all playing at Barca together in a very specific style, even then they were pretty boring and negative just hid it behind their possession. I get alot of the frustrations but I think people also have unfair expectations of what they think an international team should look like.
  15. Obviously the Salah fee is going to be ridiculous there's no getting away from that. The wages part doesn't really effect us at all though, it's not like they're paying Saudi league players those salaries at the expense of Newcastle. I just don't agree that them buying the likes of Jordan Henderson is them prioritising their own league over us. Even with Salah I doubt they think that effects their ambition for us at all. It's not like they are just handing over £200m to them for nowt either they are taking away their best player with the transfer window closed. Fairly certain Klopp would rather keep him and sell him in the summer.
  16. People said they were bailing Chelsea out but Arsenal and Man United gave them £120m for Mount with one year on his contract and Havertz. Even we will give them £30m for Hall. Fair enough if the pay that fee for Salah it will benefit Liverpool in the long term but it definitely lowers there chance at top 4 this season. Their aim is to make Newcatle the biggest club in Europe and I don't think they will ever hold back from spending as much as they are financially allowed to make that happen.
  17. Eh? They are spending as much as they are allowed to within the rules for us.
  18. Been some quality recruitment to bring in Ronny the rapist, Anthony the abuser and Sancho the slacker in such a short period of time.
