  1. A few thought Lego Pep signing Havertz was going to be some masterstroke, turns out he looks just as gash as he did for Chelsea.
  2. Good old Dychey, bringing Michael Keane on as a striker.
  3. Arsenal getting 9 minutes added on man As if the pen and red card wasn't enough.
  4. Commentator on my stream genuinely said 'credit to Man United for making a game of this' like they're the under dogs here.
  5. It's an insane fee but it's very hard to replace a 30 goal a season winger and very easy to spend £120m badly. He's been papering over a lot of their cracks for the last year and losing him would massively hurt their chances at top 4 this season.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Fairly confident we'll be targeting a Tonali/Isak level signing at RW next summer and a top RCB. Obviously would have been great to have those in now but it's no fault of anyone at the club when we simply aren't allowed to spend the money. You have to look at the bigger picture and the limitations placed on us when judging a window. Think we've been really sensible with how we've gone about things and our squad has a lot more quality and depth than what we finished last season with.
  7. Oh hang on, I think I read about that in Thomas Edison: A Life From Beginning to End

We'd have not got Gordon for the same price this summer after the tournament he just had.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Think the theres only a couple issues with our current midfield setup. None of them have the true defensive instincts of a high level DM. Joelinton still isn't great technically, control and passing under pressure at times can be off. Will be interesting to see how it gets on in Europe as we are more than likely to get a tough group. As it stands we definitely gain way more from the organised chaos of the 3 box to box system than we would with a more typically structured approach. There's only really been a few games where the weaknesses have been exposed, the vast majority of sides really struggle against it.
  10. Would happily burn all these NUFC twitter accounts to the ground. Same for the YouTube channels, podcasts etc. All just various levels of negativity, self interest, attention seeking or shite banter.
  11. Balance looks a bit off with this Arsenal side to me. Feel like they'd be better off with Partey as the 6 and Rice playing the Xhaka role. Kind of hate the trend of putting big destroyers at fullback he's nicked from Pep too.
  12. Paqueta must be furious he had to blatantly take someone out from behind to get a yellow last season. Could have just waited a few months and he'd have been able to pick one up without trying.
  13. "someone please buy him, he's innocent we swear"
  14. Pep takes a lot of stick for being overrated and only managing the best sides etc but what's he's doing at City is so impressive man. The side is constantly evolving and it makes it so hard for them ever to be 'found out' or need transitional periods like other sides do. Other managers seem to wait until there's a problem and then try and fix it whereas he seems be able to change things up before there's even any sign of a problem. From playing with no strikers to now playing with two up there, from attacking fullbacks to inverted fullbacks, to playing CBs at fullback. He's even added so much physicality to this current side now too but still been able to maintain the possession, control and press resistance elements of their game it's just a nightmare to go up against. Cant see any team getting close to them this season.
  15. Seems poor management to play Paqueta in a game like this after the last few days mind. Cant see how he'd be in any way focused or at his best.
  16. Was easier when Pep had a fetish for ball playing midgets. It's now like playing against the Space Jam Monsters.
  17. Sancho reminds me a bit of Jenas. Clearly quite talented but the heart a size of a pea.
  18. Feels like Man United don't even have a midfield
  19. Example of some of the stuff they've knocking out for Man United recently for example. As a fan that's what you want, not Castore 'performance' wear.
  20. Think the rumour at the time was it was Castore who proposed the Saudi kit to Newcastle wasn't it? Probably thought they could appease the owners in a hope they wouldn't get binned off. Adidas as a brand are cashing in on the popularity of a lot of retro gear ATM. We'll definitely get some 90s inspired kits and training wear you'd think.
