The two Joe's and Anderson only ever look good on the left side of the midfield imo. I think we saw last season when Longstaff was missing the balance was completely off when one of them had to shift over into his position. We got away with it but by the end of last season half the midfield were either out or playing through injury too.

We are probably going to need Bruno and Longstaff to play every game this season now which isn't ideal, like. Despite him not being great so far it's actually going to be a much bigger loss than some think I reckon.

I think Pep is quite fair, in that if a player wants to leave he'll not try and stop them or block a move. Think it's quite clear Phillips doesn't have much of a future there either.

I reckon if you're betting on something that you know if caught could see years of your career taking off you you probably are addicted.

Aye I'm positive too from it. Been burning up, dizzy, sneezing like mad and feel absolutely worn out. Throat and head aren't too bad though at least.

I think that midfield 3 is really difficult to come into if you're new as well. Because of the lack of a true 'anchor' or 6 it requires a fair bit of covering and rotation. He's been having to try to adapt to that in a language he doesn't understand and barely being on the training pitch. The switch in the second half yesterday to a much more conventional system made a big difference. He didn't do anything groundbreaking but you could tell he wasn't second guessing where he was actually supposed to be anymore, was getting on the ball alot and looked really comfortable until he gassed out.

That left '8' spot is kind of a hybrid midfielder/winger role. It suits the Joe's and Anderson much more than Tonali. He struggles to get involved and looks a bit lost there at times. Second half he looked much better in his actual position.

Anderson getting a lot of stick but to be fair he's probably 5th choice for that LW role when everyone is fit. Point is a very decent result down there with the squad we had and how knackered we are. After the last few weeks we've had it just seems really daft to be negative or complain about anything right now
