That is also true, but it can always get worse
-
It also left us wide open in the midfield and we were lucky not to concede more…
-
The only thing I can think of is Thiaw RB with Burn Botman CB but that throws the whole rest of the defence out of whack.
-
I don’t know mate, none of us have seen the youngsters play. It could well be much worse yes.
-
Ah yes, the 18 year old with zero professional appearances at any level. A great shout
-
Who else are people proposing we play there? We have three other RBs injured.
-
Can’t be a fluke if he’s had multiple good seasons. The pressure has been ramped up on him because Elanga has been so terrible.
-
Trippier has stepped up here
-
Bruno’s corners are really good this season
-
Willock looking better and better
-
In the interests of balance, that Trippier pull was a nailed on penalty. I’d be seething if we didn’t get that.
-
Start him v Brentford alongside Barnes.
-
What do you mean the requirements for the January window? We were never going to sign anyone
-
He may well have to play RB which would be a big help.
-
Unbelievable save Dubs!
-
He’s been poor all season for them.
-
Tino or Tonali might leave but that’s besides the point. There’s not a chance you don’t sign more players on big wages.
-
No team in the PL really rests players for league games, it is always the top priority. Liverpool/Arsenal don't do that. And that's ignoring the fact that Wolves are not the same team as they were a month ago.
-
Sorry Froggy, are you implying that you expect that NUFC and MUFCs wage bills will be the same by the end of the summer? Because I guarantee that won't be the case.
-
Yes I agree, but we should keep Schar as well.
-
Completely disagree. If we do get Europe next season we'll have a huge amount of games again. We are currently down to two fit CBs, one of which is horrendously injury prone. Another of our CBs will be 34 next season. Extending for another year is a no brainer IMO.
-
Bring him home
-
There’s not a chance we sign another winger given the money spent already unless Gordon leaves for big money.
-
It is a bit possible to quantify though isn’t it? Pope has seven clean sheets this season. Ramsdale has zero. Pope saves 75% of shots he faces, Ramsdale saves 45%. the vast majority of Newcastle fans watching that goal today would expect Pope to save it, because that’s what he does so well (alongside his clangers and poor distribution).
-
In no way shape or form has he had a ‘good’ game this season (and I’m not counting 30-45 min cameos).
