  1. Which players is he keeping out of the squad? If we signed enough depth to actually need his squad number he'd be removed from the squad in an instant. It's a complete non-issue that people who don't understand how squads work get annoyed about as they see him as an actual player.
  2. Gillespie is a training keeper - why do people get so annoyed about him every year. He will never play and will be on very little money
  3. They aren't really the same. A fourth choice CM will have plenty of opportunities to play as soon as one of Bruno/Joelinton/Tonali get injured/need a rest. A back up striker potentially never starts a PL game if Isak is fit all season.
  4. Not really. Krafth will go into next season as our reserve RB and he is perfectly fine for that role.
  5. Everyone has a price.
  6. Chelsea are quite clearly the best option if he wants guaranteed minutes. And they'll pay more. And its London.
  7. Hall can’t be in contention really as he hasn’t played enough. Even though he’s been brilliant.
  8. As mentioned there's no guarantee his replacement would hit the ground running. Even if he did we'd instantly lose the leadership and team cohesion that Bruno brings. He's our captain ffs. Would be an incredibly risky sale with not much upside.
  9. Except Howe took over a team bottom of the league as a favourite for relegation and took us to 12th, followed by CL the following year. Amorim has taken over a team 12th in the league (with much more talent mind you) and made you much, much worse. And he obviously isn't getting CL next year. Yet seemingly he's allowed to write off almost 3/4 of an entire season because he needs a summer transfer window and pre-season? He's had 7 months now ffs and you are demonstrably a worse team than Ten Hag's United.
  10. He's an ideal fit as one of the two AMs behind the striker?
  11. 4-3-3 for this surely. Drop Gordon, put Murphy and Barnes in their proper positions and Krafth will be fine at RB.
  12. I think he’s given up here and resting Barnes for next week. We need two goals anyway.
  13. Yeah, that 24 y/o CM from a midtable Ligue 1 team we signed a few years ago was a disaster. As was the 23 y/o CB we signed six months later
  14. Didn't he smash his knee off someone when clearing the ball in the first half? Was down for a minute or say but probably just a knock?
  15. It opens up more possibilities for us to qualify obviously. Theoretically we could only need one more point if it stays like this and Forest beat Chelsea.

    Harvey Barnes

Yeah this nails it I’d be more worried if he wasn’t getting involved and making the right runs etc.
  17. Think both must just be rusty, lacking match fitness.
  18. Being just as good as his current England colleagues does not equal 'generational talent' though...
  19. Sorry, you think Eze is one of the finest England players of his generation? On what basis? He's not even close to be a guaranteed starter let alone Kane/Rooney levels.

    Will Osula

You have the attention span of a peanut.
  21. Tonali is quite clearly world class.
  22. You have to say, looking back at that transfer window in 2023 which was roundly criticised: Tonali Hall Livramento Barnes It looks pretty fucking good now. Our transfer record is pretty outstanding since the takeover, it must be the best in the league? Trippier Bruno Burn All legends of the club now. Isak Botman Tonali Gordon Just peak world class players (Botman can get back to that). Hall Livramento Barnes Very good first team players with insane potential in the case of the first two. Then you are literally just looking at Wood and Targett who did a job when we were desperate and Osula who is still very young. Not a single failure in my book. It’s outstanding.
